[the sound of fighting is probably audible from outside the simulation room. inside, Kai is fighting Heartless, looking absolutely furious. he doesn't stop when hit, which, oddly enough, isn't happening all that often. probably because his light flares up every time something gets close enough to touch him and disintegrates it. the cause of his anger has to do with his Riku, and the fact that she's now missing an arm. he might not be able to be terribly negative with the whole pure Heart thing, but damn he wants to make whoever did it pay.

any friend of his who approaches would probably not get a whole lot of conversation with him in this mood.]

[don't mind him as he stays at the controls, watching.]

[doesn't seem to notice, just beating on one of the larger Heartless, then whirling around to slash through a couple Shadows.]

[hm. cranks up the number of Shadows, just a tad.]

[the sudden rise in numbers makes him glance over to the controls briefly before he turns his attention back to the fight, cutting through the Heartless again.]

[he stands firm, watching. he won't say anything, not yet. his actions speak louder, anyway. the Shadows are lowered, at least until the big Heartless is the main worry.]

[fine, he'll just concentrate on the big one, then.]

[Not that he has any room to talk about anger management, but he's standing in the doorway watching with a frown.]

[waits for it to be vanquished. :|a]

[well he'll just be slashing away at those Heartless, a few spells tossed in here and there.]

[aaaand it's down. he doesn't lower his Keyblade, though.]

[Just watches for now. He'll wait until Kai gets most of that anger out as long as he's not getting hurt.]

You're skilled with a sword. Not incredibly so, but... enough. Enough for me to wonder why your other self would want to learn brush techniques.

[his voice is quiet, but audible through the microphone.]

[eventually the Heartless start to thin out, and he lets himself slow down. he still looks pretty pissed, but he also looks tired.]

[...finally lowers the blade and dismisses it, running a hand through his hair roughly.]

[Turns the controls off, then and turns to him.]

Are you ready to talk or should I just turn it back on?

[bites back his first response and takes a deep breath, just shaking his head.]

[Sighs and takes on a softer tone.]

Seriously, what's going on?

[... walks in, silent.]

A Saix attacked Riku. My Riku, I mean.

[swallows thickly.]

She's missing an arm.

[doesn't say anything, staring at the ground in front of him.]

If you would like to speak, do so. If you would like to let you actions speak for you, attack.

[gives a slight nod.]

...I'm not going to fight you.

[sighs heavily, staring off to the side somewhere now.]

My Riku was attacked.

[good choice. he gives a small shake of his head.]

How is she?

[Suddenly looks worried.]

What?! Is she okay? I mean. besides that.

[That meaning her arm.]

Besides missing an arm?

[bitterly.]
