[this Riku's in the kitchen making himself what appears to be some pasta. the noodles are just cooking right now, sitting in a pot full of boiling water while Riku stirs the beginnings of a sauce on another element of the stove. he's probably making more than he can eat, a bad habit of his that's been around for a good couple years, too used to having someone else around who'd steal a bite from him.]

Wow, that's lotsa veg'tables!

Do you think .. do you think if I eat lotsa veg'tables, I'll get taller than you are?

[looks very thoughtful about this.]

It's always a possibility.

... That means yes, right?

[since Riku's crouched down, that leaves him wide open to be climbed upon!]

[attack of the Soramonkey, crap. allows it, but only because it's Sora.]

Mmhm.

[drapes himself over Riku's shoulder, grinning.]

And, and p'sketti sauce counts as veg'tables too, right?

Only some kinds.

[carefully stands, giving Sora enough time to grab on.]

Want to help me dish out the food?

[latches on to Riku's shoulders.]

Uh huh! Does this p'sketti count, Mister big kid Riku? I gotta start getting tall!

Yeah, it does.

[...well, we'll serve up at the counter. takes the bowls and heads back to the pot, grabbing a serving spoon.]

[watches Riku curiously, chin propped on his shoulder. after a few minutes he reaches over for the serving spoon.]

Can I try?

Alright, but you have to be really careful.

[hands over the spoon and moves so Sora can get to the pot easier.]

[... well, at least he's being very careful about getting spaghetti sauce all over the place. Sora looks immensely pleased with his handiwork, though!]

[s-sigh. looks like he'll have more of a cleanup than he thought.]

[cracks a huge grin.]

Look, Mister big kid Riku! I did it!

Yeah.

[will just. take the spoon from Sora and carry the bowls back to the table.]

[wiggles happily in Riku's arms at his monumental spaghetti success, grinning so wide it looks like it hurts.]

It's gonna be the best ever! Right?

It might be.

[places the bowls down. is Sora going to willingly detach?]

It will be!

[he does indeed let go, relocating himself to the chair so he can dig into his spaghetti.]

[this is going to get messy, isn't it? looks down at his own bowl in vague amusement before gathering some up and taking a bite.]

[of course! Sora has never really been able to eat spaghetti with an ounce of cleanliness: the sauce is going to go pretty much everywhere, but the spaghetti is definitely being devoured. he likes it!]

[that's good, at least. eating his at a much slower and cleaner pace, keeping an eye on Sora as he does so.]

[he's sneaking glances in Riku's direction every so often, trying to imitate how he twirls the spaghetti on his fork -- he's not having much luck keeping it on the fork, though.]

[maybe he should get Sora a spoon to help with that.]

[either that, or he'll resort to just sticking his face in and eating his spaghetti like a puppy!]

[...he'll stop him if that happens.]

[luckily it won't come down to that, although it does get awfully close -- Sora loses interest in the spaghetti with only a few bites left, and wanders over to the fridge to see if he can locate the ice cream.]
