[this Riku's in the kitchen making himself what appears to be some pasta. the noodles are just cooking right now, sitting in a pot full of boiling water while Riku stirs the beginnings of a sauce on another element of the stove. he's probably making more than he can eat, a bad habit of his that's been around for a good couple years, too used to having someone else around who'd steal a bite from him.]

[Well there's a hungry Roxas stumbling in with a bit of bedhead. He looks like he just woke up, and probably slept in his clothes too.]

...Pasta?

[how can you tell he's got bedhead? glances over his shoulder, wooden spoon still moving through the sauce.]

[Instead of sticking up to one side, it sticks up... everywhere. Stumbles blearily over to the fridge, rummaging around.]

Don't suppose you're feeling generous?

[it must look ridiculous. turns his attention back to the cooking food, eying it critically.]

...I can't eat all this anyway.

[Settles on a can of soda, leaning against the fridge and opening it.]

Oh good. You won't mind some help getting rid of it then.

[smirks faintly before shaking his head.]

[This should be a nice long somewhat-awkward silence.]

[hurray somewhat-awkward silences! grabs the fork sitting nearby to poke at the pasta, checking to see how close to being ready it is. after deciding it's not done, he moves to add something else to the sauce, content to remain silent.]

[Well this is awfully boring, or so he's decided. He's not going to be the first to speak though out of sheer stubbornness. So he opens the fridge once more to see what else is in there.]

[Riku doesn't plan on speaking until the pasta is ready, and it's still not quite there~.]

[Resists the urge to sigh heavily. The Riku he knew was just as annoyingly silent when there was conversation to be made.]

Why are you making so much pasta anyway?

[if it were possible, he'd be even more silent at the question. as it is, he just pauses briefly in the middle of switching off the element under the saucepan.]

[Bah, nothing worth a second glance in the fridge.]

[shuts off the other element after checking on the pasta once more, then carries the pot to the sink.]

[Over to the cabinet to get a couple of plates.]

Not that I've seen.

[drains the pasta with a frown.]

[Keeps quiet again, just watching the pasta drain with a mildly interested face.]

[once it's drained, he dumps it back into the pot and sets it back on the stove. he's already got a serving spoon out for both the pasta and the sauce, so now it's just a matter of dishing it out.]

[Not his food, so he'll let Riku go first.]

[how thoughtful. serves himself and sets the food on the table before heading to the fridge to get a drink.]

this is making me hungry, you realize.

[Serves himself after he's done, hopping up on the counter and setting the plate in his lap and taking a bite.]

[returns with a bottle of... flavoured vitamin water...? and sits down with his food, gathering a bit of pasta on his fork for a taste test.]
