[If you pass down this hall in particular, you might hear two people arguing. The door was just barely cracked, but enough to see inside. "Ansem" pacing back and forward in front of a tall mirror, and Xehanorts Heartless in said mirror... How convoluted. ]

You know what I mean, Ri.. I've chosen the path of Darkness... And I can't go back now.

So have I. That doesn't mean I'm a complete bastard. Besides, embracing your Darkness isn't the be all and end all. In my world you're the In Between.

That didn't happen in your world? I saw you had Soul Eater, but my Riku wields a keyblade now, The Way to Dawn, because he's the Master of the In Between.

... I thought by accepting the Darkness..

[Well, he could have been wrong. Ansem always told him that you are either one or the other..and he knew he wasn't Light. ]

Ansem said that there was no such thing as In Between. By accepting the Darkness it is where I belong, never to be accepted by the Light.

*laughs*

Ansem tried to feed that bullshit to my Riku, too. And so did Ansem the Wise. Riku told them both to fuck off and made his own path, the In Between, and the keyblade accepted him. So Sora is the Keyblade Master of Light, King Mickey is the Kyblade Master of Darkness, and Riku is the Keyblade Master of In Between.

Some would call that Twilight, but Riku calls it Dawn, because he's always heading towards the Light.

[Hey, look you made him smile with your cheesy, though reassuring words. ]

Heh...That sounded so gay.

*facepalms*

It's not my fault it sounded gay! Oh, but that reminds me, you could try talking to Way to Dawn or Soul Eater here. Maybe they'll have some advice or something.

*looks confused for a moment then grins*

Oh, you must not have met any of them yet. There's sentient Weapons here. They can talk, and usually change their forms to look like their Wielders. So you might see a Riku, and he's actually Way to Dawn. Or see a Sora and he's actually Kingdom Key.

*puffs up with pride*

Soul Eater chose me to be his Wielder here.

[Forgive him if he doesn't believe you.. ]

Why does no one believe me about the sentient Weapons thing? Soul Eater! Show this guy a lesson!

*and in a flash Soul Eater appears, floating by itself in the air before floating towards you and giving you a sharp rap upside the head with its hilt, before it bows towards Ri and disappears again*

..You know, I think Ansem is lonely. [Totally random subject change, but after that gay speech you gave him, it got him thinking. ]

I don't need him... He needs..no, wants me. It's sort of..sad.

Don't believe him or feel pity for Ansem. He deserves everything he gets. I might get lonely too, but that doesn't mean that I'm trying to drag everything to Kingdom Hearts.

Ansem needs me... I realize this now. And because he needs me, I can control him. The cats out of the bag now... And he knows it. Ansem belongs to me...

[He wanted to be sure Ansem could hear him. ]

... you know, it's kind of creepy when you put it in those words.

Heh... I think there might be more going on than what is obvious to you.

[It was unsettling... But, he meant it. And he was sticking with that mind set. ]

Ansem has thrived on my need to be accepted.. He knows what makes me weak.. But I know what makes him weak too.. Like I said, and like he keeps telling me, Ansem and I are not that different. The only difference now is, I understand my power over him. Call me cruel if you want.. But I am just going to think of it as a constant game of King of the Mountain. It's my turn now.

[Hey, look he is puffing up and stuff now. ]

*frowns a bit because that's sort of fucked up but as long as you don't go nuts from it, it's better than Ansem having control*

As long as you can keep a hold of yourself, it seems to be okay.

He's going to pay for what he did to Sora..and anyone else I've hurt.

Of course I don't feel bad for him. I'm just worried the power might go to your head. It's a fine line, to embrace the Darkness, and to have it take you over completely.
