{ Aeris is huddled in a ball in one of the many couches with a cup of warm peach tea. She's been downing tea ever since Demyx had told her about it- it hasn't kicked in since she tried, but it's still worth a try. She blows the hot steam above the tea to take a sip, blinking halfheartedly while watching people pass by. }

[boo, a Demyx.]

{ She jumps a bit and spills some of her tea, though it merely drops on the floor. She brushes her free hand through her hair and sighs. }

Peach tea. I had a few dozen other kinds a few hours ago, though.

[whoops. he hadn't meant to spook her that badly.]

Peach tea? I didn't even know this place had peach tea. How is it?

{ Pfft. She chuckles and waves a hand in dismissal. } Honestly, this place has everything if you look hard enough.

{ She takes another sip of the peach tea, thinking. } It's sweet, but I can't really tell anything else about it. My tongue's too burnt out, I guess.

That's true. You can even make stuff if you look hard enough.

[takes a seat, grinning.]

Sounds interesting.

And even turn into stuff. I guess the point's clear enough, this room is pretty much boss...

{ Sighs before handing Demyx the tea cup. } Want a sip? I don't have cooties.

[shrugs a bit, then looks at the cup and laughs, reaching out to take it.]

Good to know! Thanks.

Mhm. { She rests her arms behind her hand, staring up at the ceiling. }

I wonder how people are able to sleep in a place like this.

[might as well try it... huh.]

This stuff's pretty good. And I guess they just get used to it? I haven't really had any trouble, myself.

[of course, Demyx is used to traversing different worlds, and he's just happy to be alive.]

{ Nods before crossing her legs, scratching her head. }

Yeah, but... I mean, what if the dressing room does something horrid while you're asleep? This place is way too chaotic for comfort, and that's saying something.

Good point. People wake up all the time with something going on. But it's not like you can go without sleep.

[offers her the cup.]

{ She looks at the cup of tea and shakes her head, sighing in defeat. } You can have the rest if you want, I've had my fill of tea.

Hundreds of cups of tea.

[well, if she's sure. he'll just hold on to the cup for a moment.]

Sounds like Wonderland.

{ Aeris scratches her head. } Wonderland?

Imagine a world where the exact opposite of logic is what runs the place.

...You basically just described everything that the dressing room is. { Have a half-amused stare. }

... Good point! But Wonderland is like a trip, I'm not even kidding.

How much more crazy can that place be? I mean, _{Unless I suddenly see talking cats and playing cards that move, this place is probably weirder.}

[Namine smiles. Sorry for sneaking up on her.]

{ Aeris turns a bit before waving, nodding a bit. } I guess. Someone told me it'd help me sleep, but I haven't had any luck yet.

[Thinks.]
Hmm...Well, some tea can have caffeine in it. So that might be why. Have you tried chamomile tea?

{ Nods. } I'm pretty sure. I've been drinking different types of tea for the past few hours.

[Blinks.]
...Wow. And none of them made you even a little tired?

{ Aeris shakes her head. Despite the fact that she indeed has black lines under her eyes, her hair is a mess, and everything about her screams "EXASPERATED", she can't seem to fall asleep. }

Nope. None of them. Nadda.

[Thinks.]
....Is there something bothering you? That might be keeping you awake?

[One of the people passing by has his own cup of tea fresh from the kitchen. And it has a calming herb-like smell if you notice.]

{ Mmm, those herbs smell awfully nice. She can't say it's familiar, having lived in an industrial smogdump until she came here.

She glances up at him, curious. }

What's that?

[Looks over.]

Tea. Herbal tea.

Whatever an 'herbal' is, it smells delicious. { She swirls her cup of tea, chugging down the last few gulps as if it were a cold glass of ale. }

[An Aeris that doesn't know what herbs are :|]

"Herbal" because it has herbs in it. It'll put you right to sleep though.

{...She knows what flowers are, quiet.}

{ Her eyes widen, grinning. }

Really? ...Where did you get it?

I made it. There's a pot of it in the kitchen if you want some.

[Sips some- oh, that's delicious.]

{ Nods enthusiastically, hopping right out of the couch. } Yes, please. { Pause. } Lead the way?

[Amused by your enthusiasm. And leading the way to the kitchen. The tea kettle is still on the stove, and there's mugs in the cabinet.]

{ Those dark spots under her eyes, flustered face and oddly dim-looking eyes might be a hint that Aeris is not in the best of conditions. She paces jubilantly toward the kettle and mugs and whiffs the air, humming merrily. }

Man... I really owe you one.

[Notices you look no so well rested. And frowns a little.]

Trouble sleeping?

{ She pours herself a hearty portion of tea and looks back at Riku, nodding once. }

Yeah. It's not obvious, right?

{ ...Right. }

Right.

[So obvious.]

{ Siiiigh. } ...Thanks for trying, at least. { She takes a big gulp of tea- it's not like her tongue could get any more singed, anyway. }
