[the first thing he registers is the pain in his wrists, then the pain in the rest of his body, his chest being the worst. he takes a deep breath- tries to, at least- and opens his eyes, blinking blearily. it looks like he got out of the spell sooner than he expected, but apparently Larxene was ready for it; Kai's currently chained to a wall in the torture room of all places, body far more bruised than it had been when he'd last seen it. his head is pounding and he groans softly, tugging at the shackles around his wrists despite the growing pain there. he lets out another, more frustrated groan, head falling back against the wall as he closes his eyes tightly.]

Son of a bitch.

Yeah, I think so. The Voice is here somewhere, right, and he found me earlier and just... shoved the memories into me after telling me that they're... they're erasing everyone's memories of the Room.

[gathers Kai up in his arms again, then, standing awkwardly and still trying to be gentle with him]

Lucky I'm here, then. How far is your room from here?

Dunno, wasn't paying enough attention to where we were going. Shouldn't be too far though.

[heads in what seems like the right direction, and then things look familiar, and he can find his way to Kai's room, which is probably locked again, isn't it. :| bawww, snuggly Kai. <3]

--wait, wait stop. Sorry, I forgot. I moved recently, Ri's gathering all his friends and family into one hallway for safety.

[points down a different hallway.]

[sets off down the new hallway]

He's really a nice guy, I swear. He's just... not big on Axels, after some things that happened in his world. But he takes care of a bunch of the kids here, and he's almost always willing to lend a hand or step into a fight to protect someone.

[and eventually they get there, and the door isn't locked this time!]

[osnap. goes in, toeing the door shut behind him, and settles Kai on the bed, crawling onto it next to him and curling up with a sigh, radiating body heat for him]

[memories are saying he should be missing this heat, and it is nice, so he presses close to him, basically leeching on.]

[has missed having Kai in his arms, but remedies that right now, pulling Kai close and half on top of him, nuzzling against his shoulder happily]

...goddamn I've missed this.

[makes a quiet, noncommittal noise, but seems relatively pleased with the positioning and just snuggles against him happily.]

[no, that'd probably make him start crying or something, so thanks for thinking of that bb ♥ it takes him a while, but he eventually falls into a somewhat fitful sleep, nightmares mostly held off by Axel's presence.]
