But the stupid machine got me wet, so I took off my other clothes to clean them too. Why wear clothes if they just get wet?

Well, there are usually exceptions with who can see you naked. Like parents, though a lot of people get annoyed by that as they grow up. And lovers, obviously. And... nurses, I guess, if you've got an injury that makes it so you can't change clothing on your own or something.
