[he's standing in the doorway to his lab, a shattered cup of coffee by his feet. the inside of his lab is... completely ruined. nearly everything is either burnt or destroyed, including months of research notes and experiments. he's just... shaking as he stares in horror at what's left of his laboratory.]

[was right behind him, so to speak; had to get something edible from the kitchen and devour it first, but was close enough to hear the mug shatter. hurries up to him, taking in the broken mug and the expression of horror.]
