[there's a pile of blankets in a room with a very large fireplace (complete with roaring fire). he's inside that mess of blankets, incredibly cranky and shivering slightly. snake + tropical habitat + suddenly introduced to a cold winter? not so neat. he's long since abandoned his garden home and only recently found this room and fire.]

Before mossst of the Nagasss were wiped out, I wass one of very few malesss. I had a nessst of Nagasss that followed me and whom i mated with.

[But...but... He's not bad. D: Dun hate him. ]

They're wiped out in your world? There were ssstill many left in mine!

[He sort of slams his tail on the ground pretty hard...might of cracked some tile there. ]

[puffs up a bit, rising out of the blankets.]

...I'm sssory. Pleassse...Don't tell Sssora i got upssset over yet another misssunderssstanding. That ssseemss to be the bassiss of my attacksss. But i am trying... I ssswear i am.

I've not ssspoken to many other Nagasss here. But the onesss i have ssspoken to are not familiar with Ssea Sserpentsss...Are you?

I have never been to the sssea, but I've heard taless of itss ssserpentss, along with thosse who are like fish, and that which iss like nothing that walkss the earth.

[Well, if you'll notice, he just sort of looks like you only really long and his tail is sort of flat towards the end. Good for swimming, you know? :3 ]

I ussse to live in water. The Ssea. But over the yearsss, our great sssea began to dry up until we were forced on land.

The humanss in my world called usss Sssea Ssserpentsss.

How would sssomething ssso vasst dry up?

I sstill do not know. The more the water receded, the more the humansss desired to nesst there themselvess. They built homes on the water...and began fishing, ssstealing out primary sssource of food.

For ssso much water to recede at such an alarming rate, i can only asssume it hasss sssomething to do with the humansss.

[Thats right...always the humans fault. :| ]

[but it's got him pretty thoughtful. the humans back home were advanced in some aspects and not so much in others, but when they did something like fish, they had farms for it, or only fished in certain areas during spawning.]

Yess... But your relationship with humanss are far more tolerant than oursss, yess? It only clashed when they moved towardsss the water. But you ssspeak as if you live ssside by ssside.

I was lucky to live near a tribe who had no quarrel with naga, and in return for their tolerance I guarded their village, as it was in my territory. Mossst humanss were not ssso kind.

How humansss can do it iss a myssstery to me. If they would have left usss alone i would have left them alone...

It iss fear of what they don't know, and fear of what iss perceived as dangerousss.

[Well, in all fairness. Saix was pretty dangerous. He just sort of ate other Naga's for looking at him funny... ]

That isss another reasson why i want to try... If we can show humansss that we have the ability to eat all ready dead meat and not eat them then maybe the fear will dissssipate.

[Says the Naga notorious for killing for no apparent reason... But he is trying. ]

[snorts, curling up in the blankets again.]

Mossst here already know I won't eat them. Even when naga are mentioned as sssomething for new people to ssstay away from, I'm an exception.

Well, ssseing asss that i made a horrible firssst impression. I have to redeem mysself.

[Much slack should be given to him, considering he has the I.Q of a walnut with teeth. ]

Thisss isss so difficult. I want to go back home...There isssn't even a place with decent fish... Big, wiggling, wet fish. [Mmm...hammer-head shark...or the occasional sea lion. ]
