[out on the tennis court again - as usual, the semi-daily battle against the ball machine. previously, he took out some more anger on it, but today seems more relaxed.]

[smacks the last ball in that round with his racket, waits for a moment, catches his breath]

[straightens up and brushes his hair back - walks over to the bench to grab his water bottle pauses as he takes a drink - heads over to the machine to reload it]

[refilling the ball machine, hasn't noticed her yet]

[sneak sneak sneak, have a surprise hug from behind l:]

[straightens up, surprised]

[looks over his shoulder at her and his face brightens considerably] Hey! Didn't ethpect to thee you here...

I said to expect surprise visits~

Ah, thath right, you did. [stands up, takes her hand] How'the you been? Ff.

Yup~ It happens.

[gives his hand a small squeeze]

Fine, and you?

[grins] Wondering when I'd get one of those thurprise vithits. [turns and drops the last ball in the machine]

Well here yo go~ Not much to it but me showing up.

[a slightly embarrassed laugh]

I won't get in the way though!

[laughs] Well, you're not in my way. Ff. Juth don't get in the mathine's way or you might loothe a tooth. [picks up his racket and flicks a switch on the ball machine]

I'll leave that to you. I royally suck at sports.

Tennith ith the only thing I'm good at. I don't ethen know how to follow football. Ff. [starts to walk to the other end of the court]

Join the club. I'd much rather be in front of the TV with a controller in my hand~

[first ball flies out - whacks it across the court with his racket] Thath on my agenda athter tennith practith, uthually.

[watches, pretty impressed]

[looks over at her with a smile as he hits the next shot - looks back to what he's doing, determined to keep her impressed]

'Been doing thith thinthe I wath probably... elethen or so? Around that time, fft.

[well he's succeeding for the most part. She's so simple minded that way]

I've... tried playing sports. Never worked out.

Yeah? [whacks another ball] What'd you play? Thhsp!

Soft ball, the bane of my existence.

[a slightly embarrassed sigh]

I am uncoordinated as is.

...Wanna learn the bathicth of tennith?

I... don't know if that's such a good idea. I'd probably end up hurting both of us.

[laughs and walks over to the ball machine to switch it off - picks up one of the balls from the floor] Fft, no way! C'mon, I can thow you, no problem. Thhsp.

O-okay.

[moves over, looking both curious and worried]

[walks over and holds the racket in front of her] Firtht oth all, the bathic grip oth the racket, ff. Ith called the eathtern forehand...

[puts his hand against the netting of the racket on his side, holding it at the top] Here, put your hand againtht mine and thlide it down to the handle...

Umm, okay.

[does as she's told, a little awkwardly]
