sweeping up the seconds that tick off the clock

[someone's just singing in the kitchen as he makes... a lot of sandwiches. he's been hiding in the room he found, avoiding people; a habit of his since getting cursed. it's ridiculously hard to hold a proper conversation when you can only speak in song lyrics. and as soon as he's finished his mass of sandwiches, he'll gather some fruit and some drink and go back to hiding away.]

Wow! You have a great voice. [notices the sandwiches] Are you having a party or something...? That's a lot of sandwiches.

[finishes the last of the sandwiches and starts wrapping them in plastic wrap.]

[smiles at her after a moment, nodding and moving over a bit so she can help.]

[eventually all the sandwiches are wrapped and packed away in a large container so he can carry them back to his room, a few large cases of juice boxes already in the container, as well as some bags of fruits and vegetables. he is so ready to hide away again.]
