[water running in a nearby bathroom - Demyx is sitting in the bathtub, pouting, the shower curtain pulled across his lower half - muttering under his breath]

-And she's always got to have her little last word in, doesn't she. Always gotta find a new way to make me miserable.
...How am I going to reverse this one? [staring down at himself, arms folded, drums his fingers and pooches lip out in thought]

N-no... Just the curse of Vanessa. I mean, Ursula...

Yeah, actually. Except she's got a different body now... Looks more like she did before the whole purple incident. [grins at the memory]

And, of course, she's causing trouble for me. Constantly.

...you're from Atlantica? That is, your Other was?

[nods] Oh yeah. I was - er, he was - quite familiar with Ursula before the tentacles.

...so your Other was a merman.

...Well, yeah. How else would he be from Atlantica? [laughs]

[unless Demyx calls out to him or something, Axel's going to walk right past the doorway - as the sound of running water usually means the bathroom's occupied and he's not the type to barge in while there's other empty ones around]

[Oh snap - that was Axel, wasn't it.]

[hesitates - but not for too long, doesn't want him to get too far]

...Axel?

AXEL? [turns and grabs the edge of the tub, trying to peek out the door]

[ - Demyx's voice? He turns back and glances into the room]

[your boyfriend isn't supposed to have fins, Axel.]

[...he's so very close to laughing, but he just looks down and shakes his head in a (failed) attempt to hide the grin on his face]

Is the place going crazy again.

[scowls and looks away, completely ashamed.] No... Vanessa did this to me.

Apparently she isn't too thrilled with the fact you're back and had to do something to, er, compensate.

So... I crawled in here before I started to dry out. ...And that's as far as my plan got.

[looks up at him] ...I have no idea what to do now.

[sighs]

I think she even has Lightning Bug beat in holding grudges.

I'll go talk some sense into her.

[shakes head, lifts himself up onto the side of the tub, holds onto Axel's leg for support as he positions his fin a bit more comfortably - looks up at him]
Won't do any good. She'll just make you trade off for something - that's how she works. Nothing's really free.

And I don't want you giving anything up for me. [looks stern] Ursula doesn't play nice when it comes to deciding what she takes.

[...oh well, if he's going to get wet, he might as well go ahead and sit down on the edge of the tub itself.]

Because I always play by the rules, right.

[smirks and flaps the end of his fin] Neither does Ursula, that's the thing... You don't know her like I do.

...But if you're willing to try, it's appreciated~

[looks down at his fin, bent sideways in the bathtub] Wish I could've made it to the pool, this is kind of cramped.

Portals don't work?

[grins]

Dude, I didn't even think of that.

[opens a portal in the wall, scoots closer to Axel and links arms around his neck] Little help here...? [smirks - feels like being a pest.]

[rolls his eyes in mock exasperation and bends down, slipping an arm around Demyx's waist and under his tail, pretty much getting water all over his Organization coat.]

I'm starting to take back what I said about you not being high-maintenance.

[As he straightens back up (with relative ease; those chakrams do a lot to bolster strength), he ignores Demyx's portal and opens one of his own. One closer to him that he steps through, arriving at the edge of the pool.

Have a nice 1-foot-fall there, Demyx.]

I can be sometimes - I'll admit that much.

[devious little smile as Axel steps out of the portal - opens mouth to speak, falls in the pool.]

.... [pops up to the surface with a scowl] Not cool, man! Not cool.

.... [looks back down, swims backwards a bit, testing his muscle memory]

[dives back under, swiftly glides underwater and emerges on the other side of the pool in no time at all]
Well, at least I don't have to worry about drowning, everything's still second-nature. [grins - actually really, really happy, at least at this moment - and it shows.]

[as the air around Axel rapidly heats up, steam rises from his clothes and quickly dissipates into nothingness.]

Me having to save you from that would've been ironic.

[and there's that pout again] I was kidding! [dunks under and swims over to the edge where Axel's standing]

[leans back against the wall and lifts his fin above the water, looks at it] Forgot how nice it feels.

...But I can't stay like this. [looks up at Axel] This is a very serious issue. [tries his best to look solemn]

[sits down at the pool edge, back facing the water and glancing over his shoulder at Demyx with a smirk]

'course it is. It's a bit hard to have sex while you're like that.

[raises eyebrows] Yeeaah, I thought about that too...

We could always... find a way around it, but... I'm not sure how comfortable you'd be. [stares, waiting for a reaction - unfortunately he's dead serious.]

[swishes fin.]

Asphyxiation's not really my thing.

[looks to the side, chews lip in thought] Well, there's more than one way around it...

But really, I'd rather not live in the pool for the rest of my days, so something has to be done.
[turns around to look at Axel, rests his arms on the edge, arches his tail over his back] Will you find Ursula for me...?

Sure. You owe me though.

So where's the old hag, d'you know?

[frowns, rests head on his arms] Sorry... It's not like I want to be so much trouble.

[looks up with a less than innocent smile] I'll be sure to make it up to you...

As soon as I can, at least...

A-anyway. I've seen her around the kitchen, mostly. Not that hard to pick out of the crowd, really. If you can't find her, I'm sure she'll come around here to gloat sometime or another.

No problem. Ursula's a cakewalk compared to Xemnas and Co., and I had to deal with those six all the time.

[hoists himself up onto the side of the tub, stretches the fin out - looks up at the doorway] Hm? Someone there?

I don't really have to ussse the bathroom. I just heard water and thought maybe sssomeone left the tap on.

[something seems weird about this Namine - flaps his fin.] Nope, just me.

[Stares. Yeah that's so weird compared to your half snakeness. Look at that tail]

[stares right back her.]
