[now that he's finished yelling, all of the fight seems to have gone out of him. Roxas slumps to the floor without another word.]

[looks up at him, eyes narrowed in what looks like anger. his hands fall from his face to his knees and he just stares at him for a while before standing and striding over to stand in front of him. he towers over the young blonde, hands at his sides as he looks down at him]

You think I wanted to? You think I had a choice? You think I even knew it was going to happen? Fuck, Rox, how many times did I tell you I never wanted to leave? Maybe I should be mad at you for not coming with me.

[he sighs; a long, drawn-out, weary kind of sigh and he kneels in front of him, getting level with his face]

If you can take me back there, do it. If you can come with me, do it. I'm not living this miserable limbo of a half-existence without you, Roxas.

[he takes off his left glove, showing the wedding band still on his finger, and he uses that hand to cradle the back of Roxas' skull as he places butterfly kisses along his jaw]

[his grip tightens on Axel as the shaking increases, and tears slide down his cheeks. He never thought that he'd be able to be in Axel's arms again like this; to be able to do so is overwhelming, and his heart aches. He never wants this to end.]
