[Guess who's bored and sitting up towards the 'rafters' of the DR? Dear Cupid here is bored, and guess what he does when he's bored?

Seriously, if you reply to this you better be prepared to get shot by his arrows. XD
]

[ooc edit: btw, the arrows are temporary if you like. or for good. I don't really care.]

What if it is sentient? I don't think it would surprise me - but I'm not sure if much should be surprising, anymore.

[will try her best not to drag; she's just a little bit eager, is all.]

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if a world can have a heart, then sentience is possible, there has been a sentient world within this place, after all. That, and this world seems to lack any common logic, anyway; if it has a mind of its own, that's hardly the strangest thing here.

[and following as fast as he can... oh hey, the door]

[identity profile] willnotbuffyou.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
[stops so she doesn't, you know, run them straight into it, and moves to open one of them.]

Definitely not. But, there was a sentient world? That's really cool. I wonder if my world back home has a heart.

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
It's possible, though I wouldn't know myself. As for the sentient world, ironically, it was the very incarnation of my home that exists here.

[and here he is trying to help with the door opening]

[identity profile] willnotbuffyou.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
[grateful - those are big doors. She's looking at him a little wide-eyed now, though.]

You mean the castle you showed me is alive?

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
[annnd...he's trying to hold it open. So predictable, this dorklet.]

Well, that particular version was, yes. Evidently, it's also capable of taking on human form.

[identity profile] willnotbuffyou.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
Wow... I have to see that one day. I hope it didn't mind us in there.

[still seems a little surprised, but she laughs a little and steps inside.]

Thank you, again.

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I doubt it does. Others have been there, after all.

[and following]

Come now, you don't need to thank me. This is something I do willingly.

Anyway, here we are.

[take a gander at the SUPER HUGE, and SUPER NICE looking grand ball room. Oh yeah.]

[identity profile] willnotbuffyou.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I want you to know I... appreciate it.

[cue distraction, as she's now looking around, spinning a little on her heel. She's trying to look at everything at once, it seems.]

It is beautiful. And so big.

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
[also looking around, even though he's been here before]

It's rather stunning, I think. The architecture and overall design of this room is beautiful; it's only a pity that the last ball was an ambush in disguise.

[identity profile] willnotbuffyou.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
It is. That really is terrible. I almost wish I could've been here for it, just to see what the room looked like filled up. The Heartless I could've done without, though.

[smiles, moving further inside while she looks at the ceiling.]

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if there's another ball in the near future, perhaps you can go then...assuming it's not another trap. Usually the parties here are enjoyable... though before I didn't have many people to socialize with.

[he's gazing at the walls, then the ceiling, and then at the flooring, taking note of the details]

[identity profile] willnotbuffyou.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
[scuffs the toe of her shoe against the floor a little.]

People might not want to be in here for a while, with the last one being an ambush like that. But that would be nice. I'd like to go. ...and you could be more social.

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Mm. You do have a point... both about the ambush and about my social habits. I suppose it's simply...difficult for me to converse with people given the unpredictability of this place, and more importantly, the fact hat a fair amount of the residents here aren't the sort to hold conversation and would rather, ah... behave in more physical ways.

[identity profile] willnotbuffyou.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
Physical? I... think I get it. A-and I can see why that would make things hard when you want to make friends, but... I think you're great to talk to. And I bet a lot of other people would too.

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
...Well, I'm glad you think so. I suppose I could at least try. The only problem is finding people to speak to...

Though I'm glad I at least met you; one good friend is a start, I would think.

[identity profile] willnotbuffyou.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
[grins.]

I do think so. And that's just the spirit you need. ...I'm glad I met you too, you know. You're the first friend I've made here.

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
Likewise...I think. I have a few friends, or associates from home, and perhaps a few acquaintances here, but none that I've spent this much time with.

...though I'm probably sounding a bit repetitive by now, aren't I?

[identity profile] willnotbuffyou.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
It's okay. Though, I'm still surprised you don't have more friends. But don't worry about it - we'll both get more party members, okay?

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
Very well. ...perhaps you could help? If that's not too much to ask, of course.

[identity profile] willnotbuffyou.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 06:52 am (UTC)(link)
Don't be silly. Now that I've got a mage, I still need a tank and a rogue to back us up, at the least.

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
Ah... what would that require? I'm afraid I'm not the most familiar with those terms, still.

[identity profile] willnotbuffyou.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, nothing, I'm just saying by their personalities. Like you -- you're most like a mage class character, I think.

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 07:16 am (UTC)(link)
Well, you did mention that before. Plus, I do have...some abilities there. But what would be considered a 'tank' or a 'rogue'?

[identity profile] willnotbuffyou.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm... Well, tanks are usually, but not always, fighter-types. Everyone has a job to do. They specialize in defense attributes. You always want one, because mages rarely have good defense, and healers want to focus on healing. So, in games, the tankers are the ones that withstand damage and keeps the monsters on them while the others attack. As for rogues and thieves, they're usually support characters, sneaky, and good at finding traps. They can have great damage, too-- They're really versatile.
