A place called the Nexus. It's another multiversal hub. I found my way there insane and starving. Apparently five years had passed in the blink of an eye for me. Luckily people there were able to bring me back to sanity.

Yes, very. But what about you, Kairi? What was your world like?

The world I was at is called Twilight Town. It wasn't multiversal, but was a nice place to be.
The big thing about Twilight Town is that the sky is always a sunset. I don't know how that works, but it's really beautiful.

[He nodded.]

I'm sure it was. There were still beautiful places on Gaia, my home world, but ShinRa has destroyed much of it.

That's sad.
What's the world you're from like?

[He sighed.]

It can be a harsh mistress. We believe in the lifestream and ShinRa harnessed the power of the lifestream to fuel our world, a substance called Mako. ShinRa ruled with an iron fist. To think that I was once a part of them. It sickens me now.

(k-kind of wants to give him a hug, but is a bit too shy for that)

You're not a part of it anymore, that's good.

No, before I found myself here, I was helping my friend and his comrades take down ShinRa. Or I was going to.

Oh, okay, I understand.
