Y-yeah...

I'm not sure myself, actually. I wasn't asleep but I... I don't remember where I was. I met a few people though. A few kids got their hearts taken and a few others were injured.

Yup. So they go around looking for other people's hearts, to fill the void in their own bodies. Doesn't really work though.
