[Having finished Catcher In The Rye practically overnight, and with no other decent book recommendations from any reliable sources at the moment, Axel had taken to wandering again. Paranoia was starting to wear on him since he'd discovered through a most unfortunate and frightening event that the Sora that was counterpart to his Roxas was now here. It, of course, meant Roxas was at risk of disappearing. It also meant there was now a Riku out hunting for him. Axel wasn't so sure he wanted to end up in a fight with this Riku--after all, not only might he get his ass kicked, but he'd promised Roxas he wouldn't get himself in any more fights. He'd already broken that promise a few times since it was made, but hey, he was trying.

Stripped of the coat that marked him as a member of the Organization XIII, Axel was just walking through the halls with his hands in his pockets. Knowing his luck, Riku was probably somewhere nearby or something... He at least had the security of Riku not knowing which Axel he was, but the same went for Axel; any of the Soras or Rikus he'd passed today may have been them. Not good. He'd really need to keep closer tabs on Roxas... ~~Maybe he could just lock him in their room until he took care of the silver-haired punk and found a way to get Sora out...?~~]

[That. That is a bizarre feeling. Axel shivers a little, he can't help himself. Recovering, the redhead nods, mouth twisted into a frown.]

[sighs] I don't know. I just want Roxas to be safe.

Hm...he'd be safe if there was no reason to merge, wouldn't he?

Well, [Follows] We were working on that before we came here... Though I didn't really believe it would get us anywhere.

But... How does this help Roxas? [Not that dense, really, just trying to make sure he gets this straight]

If he had a new heart, he'd be his own person. There wouldn't be anything drawing him to Sora.

How would he get a new heart, though? [Oh god that cake looks like it would kill someone.]

Mm. Sorry for assuming so... But if I could get him a heart somehow... [trails off, in thought, then glances up at the cake Marluxia's holding]
