[sitting in the kitchen with his boots kicked up onto the table and his chair tipped back. he's got one of the flowers from the vase at the center of the table, plucking off the petals. with each one, he examines it, and then burns it between his fingers. ...not the most exciting thing, but something to do to pass the time.]

[flicking a petal away before he plucks another]

Congratulations.

[frowns.]

Well knock that off! I grew those myself.

[tilts his head, lifting his feet of the table and letting his chair fall forward]

...And if what I heard is correct, you won't be going anywhere anytime soon, so you have plenty of time to grow some more.

[pluck pluck]

[frowns turns to a scowl.]

Wow, you're a real jerk.

[he tilts his head, leaning forward to rest his elbows on the table, flower still held between his hands.]

You want me to lie?

[folds arms]

Well of course not.

I'd just appreciate it if you were polite.

[shrug]

Okay. Thank you for the entertainment.

[he plucks the last petal and holds it up]

How was that?

[takes it from his fingers]

Hmph.

[flicks it at him and walks off]

[he gets up, resting his weight on his hands, pressing his palms against the table]

Hey, was that a 'she loves me', or a 'she loves me not'?

[he calls, and then sits back down. Always has to be a jerk.]

[from the doorway, doesn't turn around]

Not.

I'm hurt.

[and he presses his hand over his chest where his heart would be]

[purses lips and turns around to look at him]

How typical, you get your kicks by teasing girls.

Teasing anyone, actually. Not my fault you just happen to be a girl.

[looks of mock-understanding]

Ohh, I see...

That's real mature. [hand on hip]

[he's bored of the conversation already]

[crosses arms]

As amazing as I am, I'm not psychic and I can't guess the names of people I've never met before.

Well, I figured that was it.

I had only just met you before I came here, anyway.

Nah. The rest are all imposters.

[smirks]

[leans against the doorway and shakes her head with a slight laugh]

Hah. Made you laugh. Has any other Axel done that yet?

[smiles up at him, seems to be back to her happy-go-lucky self]
