[Taking slow, wary steps. His head hurt, his legs were trembling...]

Okay Sora, I'd like to get out of this dream now.

[tilts head.]

[Rubs his eyes, then squints a little. He wished the fuzzy feeling would go away, really]

... Axel?

Y-yeah, it's me.

How did you... Where's Sora?

You okay? [rubs the back of his head] Not lookin' so hot...

You changed out of that lingerie pretty quickly.

I... don't know. Last thing I remember is Sora boarding the gummi ship, headed to... somewhere.

[his head hurt something fierce]

No. I don't feel... right. I shouldn't even be existing, right?

[silence.]

Wait. Waaait.

Lingerie?

What are you talking about?

...Whatever. At least you're here now. [places a hand on his shoulder and tries to smile]

[Raises a brow]

I just saw you in the kitchen, you were wearing women's lingerie. Which... is something I hope to never ever see again.

[slight smile]

Are you going to get soft on me, Ax?

[stare.]

Dude, that wasn't me.

But, uh, you just got here. So I understand the confusion.

There are multiples of me in this place. You, too.

[crosses arms] And I would never, ever wear that.

Well. Now I can't look at you without seeing you mostly naked in women's undies.

[taps chin]

You should probably talk to some of your multiples- at least have him wear something more flattering.

[oooh he laughed, and it hurt his head]

I know you wouldn't. I mean you're crazy... but not that crazy.

[frowns.] Great. Just great.

Oh there's no reasoning, with most of them. They're quite set in their ways.

[gets a closer look at him] Are you sure you're feeling okay? What happened, why are you here?

[waves him away, taking a step back]

I... I don't know, so lay off, will you?

I don't remember much... and I thought I was in a dream. I don't know why I'm here or existing.

I mean... the last time I saw you we were fighting.

[hesitates, and shrugs]

Looks like we did get to meet each other again though.

[presses lips together and looks at him]

Yeah... We were, weren't we.

[smiles at that last line.]

Maybe this is the "next life" we were waiting for.

[pulls him into a hug] I missed you, buddy.

[was surprised at the hug, but he didn't pull away]

I... missed you too.

[light smile]

I'm just happy that I remember you.

...

I'm sorry, you know. A-About what happened in Twilight Town.

[doesn't let go]

...Really thought I lost you for good.

[loosens his hold, but keeps an arm around him]

[pause] I am too - I never wanted to hurt you, Rox.

[sighs] But aaaanyway... That's over now, right?

Things are okay now.

[He didn't want to voice that he thought he was lost for good too. It wasn't like him, so he kept his mouth shut.]

I don't blame you though. I was acting like an ass... not remembering you and all. It must've hurt.

[looks up at him with a wry smile]

Yeah, it's over. And I remember everything and I'm me again. Although I wish I knew what happened to Sora...

Yeah.

It hurt.

But you didn't know better and... yeah, you're you again. That's what makes it okay.

[smiles down at him] And this place is a little better now that you're here. [smile turns to a grin]

... Oh yeah. Sora.

Well, what's your last memory of him?

[He felt relieved, his biggest regret was that he never got to tell Axel 'sorry' or 'goodbye'. Not like he was planning on saying 'goodbye' any time soon, not right now. Not unless Sora came.]

My last memory of him? I think he was arguing with Donald about what World they should go to next.

[Just thinking was making him tired, he leaned his forehead against Axel's chest]

Sorry... that's all I can remember. I don't feel right just yet.

[puts a hand on Roxas' head and holds him still] ...

It's okay.

There's no rush this time.

[here, have a Sora with chocobo wings.]
