[The past few weeks really hadn't been the greatest of his non-existence. Hell, his whole time hear could be summed up with a few, short lived, fun moments, and the rest had been him bickering with Axel, or nearly getting killed. And since his run in with the Sora from the same universe as himself, he'd been feeling pretty high strung.

There was also the fact that he hadn't slept well since bumping into Sora either; it must have triggered something in his subconscious, since bits and pieces of Sora's memories where starting to pop into his dreams. Roxas had decided that it was easier to just not sleep - but that plan had fallen through, as he was now fast asleep on a bench in the garden.

It didn't look like he was sleeping well, though.]

[...Saïx is well aware of how entrapping dreams can be. He sighs, his better half winning out as he walks over and cautiously manages to sit down on the bench, shaking Roxas by the shoulder gently.]

Hey, kid.

[He stirs at the touch, making a small, groaning noise before peeling open an eye.]

... Saïx?

[Watches him calmly, removing his hand from Roxas' shoulder.]

Looked like you were having a nightmare.

[It takes him a moment to realize that A: he had fallen asleep, and B: that he had fallen asleep on a bench of all things. Oh boy. He sits up rather stiffly. Benches were - in fact - not made for sleeping comfortably on.]

Mm... sort of... It was more of unwanted memories than a nightmare...

Because of Sora.

Yeah... did Axel tell you he was here?

He did. You almost disappeared, right?

[nods] Yeah, almost. It was... scary...

...

[Looks away in thought for a moment.]

It's good that you didn't.

That's... what causes Axel and everyone to die, isn't it? Me merging with Sora...

[Turns his head to look away from Roxas completely, bangs hiding his expression from view.]

[gaze falls to the ground] I see... I'll have to make sure that it doesn't happen, then...

As long as you truly don't want it to...as long as your will is strongly against it, nothing should happen.

Really? Will that be enough? I... I don't want Axel to die because of me...

Though Sora's will can't be removed from the picture entirely, yours should be strong enough to keep things from going awry.

Alright... I've been kind of worried that I would run into Sora by mistake... I mean, I didn't even know if I could pass by a room he was in with starting to disappear.

[Sighs.]

This place loves to make things difficult, doesn't it?

[Erk! Turns, frantically waving his hands all ajfidshfingly.]

N-No! He didn't! He asked but I said no!

H-he asked? [facepalm, okay regain composure, you can do it Roxas]

I, uh, I didn't mean to assume you would - I assume Axel would since he does that but - uh... but he didn't! So just... never mind! Yeah... [clearly a little flustered, not knowing what to say]

...

[Woah, woah. Backtrack a bit.]

You...assumed...I would...?

Wha? Oh! N-no! I didn't mean for it to sound like that! I didn't want to sound like I assumed you would, I just assumed Axel would!

You... don't really strike me as the type to do that kind of thing...

I-I'm not that type, no...

[The ability to look away, what a lovely thing.]

It - It's not a bad thing, I mean... shit, I'm just going to stop talking.

[He really needed to learn when to just put a foot in his mouth.]

I don't know why I open my mouth sometimes... [sigh]

Sorry... that probably wasn't something you wanted to talk with me about.

[Saïx moves to stand, not wanting to get too comfortable around him or anything. He takes a few steps away from the bench towards the exit.]

Changing the subject to something worth discussing, it's likely not wise for you to fall asleep out in the open around here. [Looks back at him.]

Heh... I didn't think so...

[Since he doesn't have a good reason for Saïx to stick around, Roxas isn't making any move stop the other from leaving. Especially after that awkward conversation.]

Oh... you're right. It would be bad if Sora found me... or Riku... Axel would probably tell me off if he found me sleeping here too...

Or if I did, in the wrong state of mind.

It's not like I try... he just worries too much. That would probably be bad too... but you didn't.

Next time could be different.

[Quite certain his demonic side will make up for being so quiet recently.]

... I hope not. You're... pretty nice when you're not in that state of mind.

[Blinks onc--twice, at that. He looks away.]

Honestly think so?

[nods] Yeah. Honest...

[With that, he's leaving Roxas in the garden.]
