I was working at the high school I went to. Lots of parents there have their kids futures all planned out. So, I restarted a club that I had when I was in High School, called the 'Dead Poets Society' it was meant as a way for my students to have something that their parents didn't have control over.
Bad stuff happened, mainly because of the parents not being willing to let their kids be in control of their own lives, and I was going to be blamed for it.
In short, it was a mess.

I have heard much worse, even if your lover is still a minor. In fact, there was a news story a little under a year ago about a teacher who engaged in sexual relations with his students, and ended up marrying one of them. He is now... somewhere around forty, with his wife in her late twenties I believe. I have met couples with larger age gaps between them, so I do not see why it would be so troubling if it is not forced.
