(no subject)

[For once, Axel's not the one injured! But he rather wishes he had been instead. He and Roxas are in their room, the door is open, but just a crack.

Roxas is on the bed, but he's... Sort of transparent, like he's fading. Axel's leaning over him, extremely worried. He doesn't know what to do. Roxas ran into the Sora from their world and almost disappeared, and now he's in really bad shape. Axel's on the verge of going into freaking-out-mode again.]

[curiousity gets the better of her, peers through the crack]

...Oh. [opens the door a bit wider] What's going on, is he okay?

I'm okay for now... [just a little transparent]

Shut up, Roxas. You need help...

Do you... Know how to help him, Kairi?

Um... Um, well, that depends what's wrong with him. [nervous laugh] Doesn't look like a potion can cure this... right?

But I can get whatever you need!

[Well, someone's boredly sitting on a chair nearby, legs crossed. Here to help or here to watch?]

[Oh, he remembers this Marluxia. He's the one that helped Axel out when he was bleeding to death... but he's also friends with the Saix who nearly strangled him to death, isn't he? Well, regardless, Roxas is sitting up a little to look at Marluxia.]

Don't suppose you would have any ideas that might help, would you?

[Axel didn't notice Marluxia there until Roxas tried to address him. He put a hand on Roxas' shoulder, to get him to lay back down, but stopped as he saw Marluxia there, and froze, looking uncomfortable. He had not forgotten his little taste of what the death god was capable of.]

What do you w--[he bit his tongue, to try a less negative approach]

D'you... Think you could help?

I could.

[Simple response; He's still a little mad at Axel for upsetting his friend -- as evident by how he's taken that out on several unfortunate souls in a few rooms and on the garden. He's not sure he wants to help, so he's just sitting there, watching, still as a doll.]

[He's getting a feeling that both Axel and Marluxia are kind angry at each other... well, that doesn't help his chances much, does it?]

If you do decide to help... I'll owe you a favor... and I can try and repay you somehow, if you want.

Y-yeah. Marluxia, please.

Your grudge against me shouldn't carry over to him. [Lord knows he's suffered enough for Axel's mistakes already]

[Lies. Upsetting Roxas would even things out nicely, however...]

I suppose if Roxas is offering a favor in return, I could help. But only for that reason and not for Axel.

[figures, Axel would have found a way to make someone who could actually help him angry]

Yeah, it would be the least I could do, for you helping me out... What would you want for me to do in return?

[watching and listening carefully. He's not about to start trusting Marluxia with crap like this again just because Roxas is in trouble. If he needs to, he'll find someone else to help.]

[Carefully watching Axel out of the corner of his eye, maybe throwing a glance at him.]

If you could become friends with Saïx, that would be nice.

[stares; damn, he wished the look on Marluxia's face said he was kidding]

... I could try, but being friends with Saïx would be partly up to him, not me... I wouldn't make any guarantees, since I'm sure you know he hates me...

Y-you can't ask him to do that... Saix wants to kill him. Like Roxas said, that's up to Saix.

[Blank face is a blank face.]

Saïx already told me he regrets that attack. If he truly hated Roxas, then he would have killed him the moment he stepped into the castle at Never Was; Saïx instead took care of him, and not just because Roxas was dear to Axel, and also when he already knew what Roxas' will would bring us.

It's the demon that sees Roxas as an enemy, not Saïx.

Well, like I said... I can try and make friends with him, but if he's dead set against it, there's not a whole lot I can do to change his mind. I can't guarantee you that I'll be able to do it....

Good to know that Saïx himself doesn't hate me, at least....

[Sorry, Axel's a little anxious. He doesn't like Roxas being in such a state]

Okay, okay. So it's a deal. Roxas tries to make friends with Saix. Can you help him, now?

Mm. Roxas shouldn't have many problems if he's careful, but I'll accept that offer regardless of no guarantees.

[Standing up and walking closer, his hand suddenly glows oddly, and he presses that hand to Roxas' chest. If the boy is missing part of his existence -- or "nonexistence" -- Marluxia will simply create more to replace it, solidifying him, because he can do that -- he has secrets too.]

Alright... I'll try my best, then.

[It's sort of an odd sensation to have a death god touch you, for one, and two, having part of your existence replaced feels a bit strange as well. Roxas stares at his hands, which are now back to a lovely opaque, before glancing at Marluxia.]

Thanks... I feel a lot better now.

[Axel watches, rather fascinated. Marluxia will probably never cease to surprise him. He feels like he can finally breathe easily again, now that Roxas isn't practically see-through.]

[Aaaand quickly pulling his hand away now that he's finished. Fingers go flex flex...]

...Mm.

[Someone is pushing open the door to the room a bit, to see what's happening inside. Good thing he found the right room pretty fast and didn't have to check others, he might have seen a lot more than he wanted in some rooms. Riku is eyeing both Roxas and Axel, standing in the door frame, and not bothering to move any closer.]

... So you're the Roxas who is Sora's Nobody.

[Axel looks up, and, upon realizing who it is, glares a little] I was wondering when you'd turn up.

[not liking this Riku too much already] What's it to you?

[glances over at Axel] I should have figured you'd be here as well. You hardly ever leave Roxas alone, do you?

Sora was just wondering if you were alright.

What's that supposed to mean?

Roxas is fine now, but it was a close call. [crosses his arms over his chest]

Oh... well, like Axel said, you can tell him I'm fine.

[shrug] Nothing important. Not to you anyways.

He'll be glad to hear it.

And...?

That couldn't have been your only reason for coming here, unless you're just that whipped.

[rolls eyes] As if.

I think you already know. DiZ sent me to return Sora's Nobody to him, and I'm planning on doing so, sooner or later.

Over my dead body! [hands are at his sides now, itching to summon up his chakrams]

If you want it to come to that, it will.

I'm in no rush though, and Sora doesn't want to take away your non-existence, for the moment.

[Roxas is still just sitting on the bed, but he looks pretty peeved. This guy was threatening both him, and Axel. Not cool.]

You're the only one here who has to worry about their existence ending. Now get lost.

Yeah, what he said. Get out of here before I melt your pretty little eyes right out of their sockets. [There's fire in Axel's hands...]

Yeah, yeah. I can take a hint.

I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again soon enough. [nonchalant wave, before pushing himself off the door frame and heading back into the hallway]
