You might be surprised. Some people here are -- or were. I'm not sure if they still are.

[Roxas notices the collar now, thanks to Axel's movements, but he refrains from saying anything since he's learned from being here that questions about collars are not always taken kindly.]

I see. I don't ever think I've seen an Axel here with wings before.

[He says this tentatively, not sure how Axel will take him voicing his observation.]

Were you ever in Organization XIII?

[Chuckles softly and maybe a bit sadly.]

I guess not. Organization XIII was a group of thirteen Nobodies -- people without hearts. I was number XIII, and the Axel from my world was number VIII.

Huh. Interesting. [kinda of a weird connection- his number when he was being sold was VIII and XIII was Roxas's slave number]

Nobodies?

Yeah. [nods]

When someone's heart is lost to the darkness, their body and soul remain if they're strong. That's how Nobodies are born. We're beings without hearts, so we can't feel emotions, and we stay incomplete unless we get our hearts back.

[well, that's different] Pretty sure nothing like that is about where I'm from. [waves a hand carelessly]

[Folds his arms across his chest and leans backwards against the hall wall.]

Well, I've never seen an Axel with wings before. But there are a few winged people where I come from....

Well, in my world some people have animal genes. You might have seen one of yourself walking around with cat ears.

I've seen him -- and a Sora with cat ears and a tail too.

Don't know the Sora.
