[is about as dead as can be, lying in a pool of his own blood from a gunshot wound to the head, making a mess all over the floor. His dragon is curled up on his stomach, pawing at him and keening quietly]

[still for a moment, before his face starts to heal, save for the eyes, and he's left laying there. Abruptly he starts breathing, choking on air and leftover sobs while his dragon comes close and starts licking his cheek]
