[TIME FOR AN ENTIRELY TOO LONG MULTI-CHARACTER POST.

seasides is in the kitchen... what a boring guy. with things set up kind of how they used to be, and people once again relying on the kitchens, he's made his way to the main one to cook up some stuff to stash away in the fridge and freezer for others!

fading is not amused. he's trapped in a cage in a section of hallway made of white sand and marble. the cage isn't very big, which has him stuck sitting, and looking rather grumpy. there's no visible lock on it.

skybright is currently pushing herself in a training room, magic drained and looking half ready to collapse where she stands. there's a first aid kit sitting on a bench nearby, several bottles (elixirs, mostly) sitting empty next to it.

ghastlydawn hasn't been seen much, but she has been around. super disappointed with the change in the DR still - she grew up in the open world version, after all - she's been exploring to keep herself from lingering on her thoughts and getting even more homesick than she already is.

before is... pinned to a wall with several familiar knives. he doesn't look more than a little beat up, and mostly amused! he's got no idea why a Larxene attacked him, only to do barely anything aside from pin him there, but he can't move his hand enough to pull any of the knives out, and he doesn't want to rip his jacket. oh well.

islandflower is sitting in an outdoor room, a simple-looking field with several slightly battered targets some distance away, taking a break from practicing magic. the door is open and she's well in sight, but she's rather distracted reading.

fromshadow has found something that looks like it's fresh out of Halloween Town. it's a gloomy, mist-covered room, the door opening to a large clearing amidst spindly frost-coated trees. the clearing is filled with row upon row of gravestones, but each and every one of them marks an empty grave, the spaces all cleanly dug out but not even holding a coffin. he's standing just inside the doorway, too wary to actually go and check it all out.

conflagrate, who I totally didn't forget about, is in one of the closets. this particular one seems to hold clothing for both male and female, and she's just sort of absently browsing the men's button-down shirts at the moment. for some reason, all her clothing has gone and vanished from her room-house-thing, so she's rebuilding her wardrobe.]

I'm flattered, but not interested in pursuing a hate-based relationship at the moment, so you can take your vague complements and go elsewhere, thanks.

[He's not looking at Axel at all. And he's entirely expecting to be talked at instead of freed. He's almost tempted to rip his jacket after all.]

[he studies Red for half a moment, then sighs and moves closer, grabbing the first of the knives by the hilt and wiggling it to ease it free with minimal (further) damage to Red's jacket.]

The only one hating here is you.

[It sends off a bunch of sparks, which singe said jacket. Red scowls deeply.]

Well huh, I can't imagine why that might be.

What, exactly, did I do to make you so fucking hostile to me?

[he goes for the next one, wrapping both hands securely around it to help contain the sparks.]

[He just smiles unpleasantly in response. That knife sparks like the last one, and there's blood on the edge of it.]

I'm serious, tell me. I'm so goddamn stupid that I can't figure out what I've done to wrong you, is that what you want me to say? I can guess at it, but I would really, really like to hear it from you, how about that. In case you hadn't noticed, I'm still helping you here, even though you've been nothing but a dick to me since this summer.

[and he is, even focusing more to try and extract some of the remaining electricity out through his hands so that they'll stop doing that.]

Maybe I'm just being a prick and hating you because of your parasite.

[Why yes, he's still calling him that.]

Well, if that's true, then you're awfully petty. It's not like you're ever going to see or speak to him again, if I have anything to say about it, so why take it out on me?

[he and Hachibi have had a lot of time lately to work on controlling their rampant tempers, since the incident with that Larxene. Axel's managing to keep himself at a flat level of bland annoyance at how dense Red is.]

[Dense? Excuse me, who is dense. He's not the one with an asshole in his head that murdered someone and scarred two other people, all of which were in some way family or otherwise on amiable terms with Kai, who should have been top priority for protecting, not hurting. He's also not the one who decided to side with said murderer as well as insult Riku, the person who was closest to the guy who got murdered (in front of her eyes no less), without so much as an explanation. And he, unlike everyone else, it seems, isn't about to so readily forgive and forget that sort of absolute bullshit.

Axel isn't getting a response.]

[he just pulls the rest of the knives out in silence, then, stepping back once they've all been tossed to the ground. it looks like he might just leave, but then he looks right at Red again.]

Your death at his hands hurt Riku a lot more than it hurt you. If anyone's going to be mad at me for what he did, it should be her. But she's not, which I'm more grateful for than words can even express.

Ah yes, I should just forgive him for killing me because Riku has. Your input is appreciated.

[Sorry, if Axel was trying to make Red feel bad or like an ass or something, it's not working.]

Here's an idea, Axel. Quit trying. I would have been perfectly fine if you'd just walked right by me without a word here. Do that next time and we'll be just peachy.

I didn't say she's forgiven me, or him, but at least she's not openly hostile, and she's got enough of an open mind to at least listen to what I had to say, and what he had to say. But fine, next time I see you, I'll just keep moving.

{he sticks his hands in his pockets and turns to walk away.]

[Red doesn't respond, just sets about cracking joints and stretching like he didn't hear what Axel said at all.]
