[TIME FOR AN ENTIRELY TOO LONG MULTI-CHARACTER POST.

seasides is in the kitchen... what a boring guy. with things set up kind of how they used to be, and people once again relying on the kitchens, he's made his way to the main one to cook up some stuff to stash away in the fridge and freezer for others!

fading is not amused. he's trapped in a cage in a section of hallway made of white sand and marble. the cage isn't very big, which has him stuck sitting, and looking rather grumpy. there's no visible lock on it.

skybright is currently pushing herself in a training room, magic drained and looking half ready to collapse where she stands. there's a first aid kit sitting on a bench nearby, several bottles (elixirs, mostly) sitting empty next to it.

ghastlydawn hasn't been seen much, but she has been around. super disappointed with the change in the DR still - she grew up in the open world version, after all - she's been exploring to keep herself from lingering on her thoughts and getting even more homesick than she already is.

before is... pinned to a wall with several familiar knives. he doesn't look more than a little beat up, and mostly amused! he's got no idea why a Larxene attacked him, only to do barely anything aside from pin him there, but he can't move his hand enough to pull any of the knives out, and he doesn't want to rip his jacket. oh well.

islandflower is sitting in an outdoor room, a simple-looking field with several slightly battered targets some distance away, taking a break from practicing magic. the door is open and she's well in sight, but she's rather distracted reading.

fromshadow has found something that looks like it's fresh out of Halloween Town. it's a gloomy, mist-covered room, the door opening to a large clearing amidst spindly frost-coated trees. the clearing is filled with row upon row of gravestones, but each and every one of them marks an empty grave, the spaces all cleanly dug out but not even holding a coffin. he's standing just inside the doorway, too wary to actually go and check it all out.

conflagrate, who I totally didn't forget about, is in one of the closets. this particular one seems to hold clothing for both male and female, and she's just sort of absently browsing the men's button-down shirts at the moment. for some reason, all her clothing has gone and vanished from her room-house-thing, so she's rebuilding her wardrobe.]

That's sort of scary to think about. How old is your Kai, in... sweeps?

Seven. Slightly younger than I am.

Makes sense. I've yet to hear of a world where one of my doubles is the older one.

It doesn't matter in the end. He'll live a long time. Much longer than any of us.

He's of royal blood. The highest of our kind.

I forgot the blood's a... thing. I didn't realize it effected things like lifespan.

Trolls with blood lower on the spectrum live much shorter lives. I can't even begin to imagine how long a lifespan Kai will have without interference.

Have there been others with his blood colour before? How long did they live?

His ancestor is still alive, as far as any of us can tell. He would be hundreds and hundreds of your earth years.

Wow, that's pretty impressive. Humans are generally lucky to live to 80.

That's acceptable, but short. What do you do with that time?

Hmm. Well, in normal worlds, not this place, there's school... which goes from about the age of five to around eighteen, at which point the 'mandatory' stuff is done. You learn math, science, languages, history... it depends on the world, really. After that, humans have colleges and universities they can go to to further their education in more specialized fields, or they can get a job, or travel...

[She snorts. It's a little derisive, but not as mocking as the Riku he knows would have been when she was younger. She has very good moirails.]

You're not a race of conquerors, I'll say that. My Kai would like your planet.

Some are, at least. In universes like mine, there are a number of fairly close together planets, and each somehow has humans on it. I've heard it told that in the beginning, all planets were one, but then darkness went and split everyone. Or something along those lines, anyway.

[She looks amused.]

Legends. Do you think there's any truth to it?

[Maybe the real reason there are humans on so many is that their worlds had a sudden decline, and years ago the humans were an empire like trolls.]

I think there is, but it was a very, very long time ago.

[he thinks back to what little he knows of the keyblade wars (see: basically nothing), which in itself was forever ago.]

In the time of your ancestors, I suppose?

[That probably means something entirely different to both of them.]

I guess so.

[it's not like he even knows who his parents are, nevermind further back (aside from his grandfather). and yes, it's probably waaaaay different.]

You're a very simple race.

We could be seen that way, yeah. Though I don't really know anything about yours, so I can't really compare.

Maybe I should tell you about us. Explicate the details exactly. But you might not absorb everything with your human understanding.
