[TIME FOR AN ENTIRELY TOO LONG MULTI-CHARACTER POST.

seasides is in the kitchen... what a boring guy. with things set up kind of how they used to be, and people once again relying on the kitchens, he's made his way to the main one to cook up some stuff to stash away in the fridge and freezer for others!

fading is not amused. he's trapped in a cage in a section of hallway made of white sand and marble. the cage isn't very big, which has him stuck sitting, and looking rather grumpy. there's no visible lock on it.

skybright is currently pushing herself in a training room, magic drained and looking half ready to collapse where she stands. there's a first aid kit sitting on a bench nearby, several bottles (elixirs, mostly) sitting empty next to it.

ghastlydawn hasn't been seen much, but she has been around. super disappointed with the change in the DR still - she grew up in the open world version, after all - she's been exploring to keep herself from lingering on her thoughts and getting even more homesick than she already is.

before is... pinned to a wall with several familiar knives. he doesn't look more than a little beat up, and mostly amused! he's got no idea why a Larxene attacked him, only to do barely anything aside from pin him there, but he can't move his hand enough to pull any of the knives out, and he doesn't want to rip his jacket. oh well.

islandflower is sitting in an outdoor room, a simple-looking field with several slightly battered targets some distance away, taking a break from practicing magic. the door is open and she's well in sight, but she's rather distracted reading.

fromshadow has found something that looks like it's fresh out of Halloween Town. it's a gloomy, mist-covered room, the door opening to a large clearing amidst spindly frost-coated trees. the clearing is filled with row upon row of gravestones, but each and every one of them marks an empty grave, the spaces all cleanly dug out but not even holding a coffin. he's standing just inside the doorway, too wary to actually go and check it all out.

conflagrate, who I totally didn't forget about, is in one of the closets. this particular one seems to hold clothing for both male and female, and she's just sort of absently browsing the men's button-down shirts at the moment. for some reason, all her clothing has gone and vanished from her room-house-thing, so she's rebuilding her wardrobe.]

You were going to get me fish?

Hell no. I would've gotten you a sea monster but those are hard to take care of.

[Aden you say that like you have experience.]

[ghastlydawn]

I guess it would be, especially with everything closed off now.

[A chimera was a good idea. Elysia is going to take a moment to coo over her little cub thingy.]

No kidding. Do you know how hard it is to find a place to store narwhals? Really, really hard.

[He crouches down next to her, looking at it himself. It seems more or less docile right now, but that's probably because he'd just fed it, and it's pleasantly sleepy.]

What do you know about chimera?

[ghastlydawn]

[She's cuddling it. Gently, because she doesn't want to get bitten, even if it's a baby.]

Not a whole lot. I haven't really read anything except a few kid books when I was a little younger that had one in them.

I'll get you some books. Now, I'm not sure when she'll start, but they can breathe fire. Try to be careful.

[Does she like it. He was really hoping she would.]

[Oh look at how her eyes light up.]

That's so cool!

Yeah. Try not to catch fire, alright?

[Maybe he'll get her a fire extinguisher as a side gift...]

I'll do my best.

[...She's going to put the cub down for a moment so she can hug Aden.]

[Unexpected. But don't worry, he's used to hugs from pretty girls. Just not sisters. He'll return the hug, though, looking terribly amused.]

Think she'll work for you?

[ghastlydawn]

[She pulls away after a moment to go pick her up again.]

I think so. D'you know how big she's gonna get?

Big. Big enough, anyway. Bigger than a normal lion, that's for sure.

Ooh. I guess I should name her.

[She studies the cub for a moment.]

Them? Maybe I should name each head.

Why not?

[Way more interesting than just one name.]

I'll think on it, then.

[Being very careful not to squeeeesh her new pet.]

If it's anything like Precious or Fluffy I'm going to disown you.

I'm gonna do that just to bug you now.

[Except not. Maybe she'll name them after lady pirates.]

Disowned.

[He's going to buy her lady pirate romance novels when she's thirteen, just to freak her out.]

[If any of them turn out to be the shitty kind where the lady is in need of saving half the novel and constantly defers to the man she's romancing with, Elysia will punch him like ten times.

But for now she's sticking her tongue out at him.]

[He'll make sure they're the worst ones he can find, and will laugh that she actually tried to read any. He sticks his tongue right back at her, by the way, then straightens up and picks up the bag to sling it back over one shoulder.]

She's young enough that she should listen to you as she gets older, just make sure you let her know who's boss.

[She is going to spoil her rotten, but she'll definitely read up on how to train animals and stuff. Boring, but necessary.]

[Good girl. Now he's pulling a list out of his pocket.]

Got you feeding instructions, too, but they're not that big of a deal. Just things you need to make sure she has.

Oh, thanks.

[Good, she doesn't have to figure out what her new pet eats on her own.]

I'm probably missing things, but that's worked for the few days I've had her.

If nothing else, I guess I could take her to a kitchen and pull stuff out 'til she eats things.
