well it seems Ienzo that we were mistaken Can you hear me all along ADAM is more than a simple science experiment that caught on

[OOC: Use of ~~Applied Phlebotinum~~ ADAM, a serum created to give the user powers (e.g. a hand that shoots ice/fire/lightning/bees) has cause Bioshock!Even and Ienzo to take a flying leap off the deep end.]

[cringes] That... that is a terrible, terrible way to die. At the very least, hypothermia is painless.

Aye, quite. I can't decide if that's more or less painful than what he was going to do to me. Which was unravel my essence, piece by piece, until I dissolved.

N-nor can I. At least some burn victims survive to tell the tale.

Quite. Unfortunately for Vexen, well, our kind are... elemental, in a way. As I said, I am an incarnation of Illusion, of dreams. Vexen, on the other hand, was an incarnation of ice.

[looks down at the scars on his hands from plasmid use] That is a fascinating parallel.

[thought occurs] There's so much more I wish to ask. Of Eleaus, for instance... Eleaus, and Dilan, and Braig...

All assisted in the genetic experiments, just as your universe's counterparts studied the darkness. Conversation was mainly professional, however, and as a result I learned little of their personal lives.

One thing I can say with reasonable certainty was that Braig was a nuisance. A brilliant physicist, yes, but when a man steals the slides one has been meticulously observing for two whole weeks and hides them at the bottom of Rapture's public swimming pool, one tends to ignore such details. Even if it was April first.

[LAUGHS] oh goodness, like when he hid my Even's notes in the gardens. haha, oh my, Even was livid...

Understandably so! Do you have even the slightest idea how much information I usually store on a piece of paper? [has tiny handwriting]

The fact that he, Ienzo that is, wrote in so much detail one would think he was composing a novel did not help his budget either.

And without words, without wizards of pen and ink, without someone to twist what you find into honeyed threads for the sheep to digest without fear, where would you be, exactly?

[deadpan] I would be talking to myself.

Though, without words, I would be unable to talk. Being unable to talk, my ideas would need to be conveyed through some sort of body language, possibly stored in photographs and sketches, which would, in turn, be published in a form likely to be similar to the books of today. Ienzo would have become an artist, due to his fascination with human communication. I...would still be a scientist, ADAM would still have been created, and I would still be standing here, wildly gesticulating to myself. No, you. Wait. [sighs] Theoretically.
