Riku says you get a Keyblade from the darkness.

Where's the darkness? I want a Keyblade too!

Darkness? No. But I know that you shouldn't be anywhere near it. The light gives you Keyblades, too.

Responsibility?

To wield a Keyblade means that you've got to travel the worlds and defend everyone from Heartless. The Keyblade comes with great responsibility. It's like you're a hero from the comic books, but without everyone cheering for you. I don't think you're ready for that.

That doesn't sound so hard. If Riku can do it, so can I!

[whoop, that's Way to Dawn in front of you.]

[ he's reaching, reaching, then holding it until-- ]

That's what I thought. You can't hold someone else's Keyblade. At least, not until you have your own and it's given willingly.

[ he looks so frazzled. ]

[stares] Why would you want a keyblade? I thought you were obsessed with being 'normal'. And 'sides, keyblades don't exist.

They do! Riku showed me one!

Uncle Riku...? Really?

I guess anything can happen in this place. What did it look like?

Fifteen. He's only beating me by a year!

I bet you guys are really close, huh? Most of the kids back on the islands were, even with some of them running away to becoming ninjas or actors or sky pirates~

Riku and Kairi are my best friends. We're only apart when our families don't get together to have dinner.

[headtilt] Kairi? That's my mom's name...

Even though he does have best friends named Riku and Kairi, he's still gotta be a different ones, cause you can pass for my big brother.

Y- Yeah, I can be your big brother!

That'd be really cool! All right, then, big brother Sora~ I'll be sure to listen to anything you say. And um, obey if it's reasonable.

Who said anything about a slave? I don't always listen to my real big brother, yanno. [shrugs] Especially since he's obsessed with wanting a girlfriend and a job.

Sora, the last thing you want is to rely on the darkness.

But isn't that where you got your Keyblade?

That must have been another Riku. I got mine from having a strong heart. The Keyblade isn't about light or darkness; it's about strength more than anything, and just giving into the darkness won't prove a thing.

Ohhh... I still don't get it.

Basically, you have to be strong, and I don't just mean physically. Who knows? Maybe you'll luck out and get one someday.
