[Axel skids out into the hallway, wearing a backpack backwards, something obviously inside. He's lost track of of where the library(s) is(are), but even if he knew where it was, he wouldn't know where to start looking for the book he needs.]

Guys? [gives a worried glance down into the backpack on his chest] Anybody know anything about motherhood?

C'mon Weed...pass her back. [He doesn't lunge at least or snatch the baby up--he's just...tense. But...that's just a nervous mother for you...]

Don't know what she eats yet, but I'm sure we'll find something...hell, if only that Sora I knew was around. He'd know.

[But he's not. So improvisations had to be made.]

Guess I'm making a steak dinner and a salad. Whatever this little girl doesn't nibble on, I'll be finishing off.

[--and glancing back down, he does notice that the broken egg isn't just shell. It's a gooey mess. And while the baby's managed to rub enough off of her onto the blanket, she will need a good cleaning later.]

And I...ick...guess she'll be joining me in the bathtub later...

You never had geeky friends growing up, did you? [chuckles, zipping up the backpack halfway as he noticed the baby nuzzling down into the blanket, curling up with head down. It was obviously naptime.]

If the geekbooks are right, then there's a whole mess of different kinds of dragons--plant eaters, meat eaters, scavengers...all sorts, you know?

[He doesn't think Hayner's a liar--not by a longshot. It's just that, for a moment, he entertains the notion that Hayner might be from his world.]

--what? Yeah, the CIA. I was one of the only ones that survived the outbreak when I was a baby, so I didn't really have friends growing up. 'cept Olette.
