[Here's a Roxas who looks like he has seen better days. He's sitting in the kitchen in one of the chairs, his face on the table and his hands laced around the back of his head. He's got a splitting headache, and a little bit of discoloration is showing up around his neck - being strangled by a crazy Saïx will do that to you.]

[deep sigh] Why does everyone around here attack you if you try and speak with them...?

Saix... Sort of has a grudge against the Roxas from his universe. [to put it lightly.]

[takes his gloves off and is very careful not to touch where Roxas had split the skin, wiping the blood off the hair around it with a damp paper towel]

I'm sorry about him.

[huffs] So I noticed... I guess he didn't care that I wasn't the Roxas from his world.

Not your fault he's a nutter...

Well it's Axel's fault. Remember that time I'd disappeared to help someone? It was him. He's been sort of off since I met him...

I should have warned you about it.

[done checking the back of the blond's head, now, and sits back] It's not too bad, what I'm worried about though is a concussion. Try not to fall asleep, all right?

[raises a brow] You were helping him? He must like you or something, if he doesn't try to kill you for looking at him... ~~Maybe he's off because he has the hots for you.~~

Don't worry about it... you probably didn't think that he'd end up trying to throttle me.

[runs a hand over the back of his head and winces] Alright... I won't fall asleep.

... No, I guess not. Still, I should have gone looking for you sooner. [stepping in at the last minute is fun and all, but he's tired of ending up in the kitchen looking for medical supplies]

How does your neck feel? [moves the ice pack aside to get a look at it and winces]

You're not my mother... it's not your job to keep an eye on me all the time...

[glances at Axel] Doesn't hurt all that much... does it look bad?

You've got some bruising. [presses a few fingers against it lightly to see if the area is tender at all]

And it's dangerous around here; I feel obligated to look out for you.

Great... just great... [flinches]

You're not "obligated" too... but, thanks... for saving me and all.

... I had to. Don't mention it.

[sighs and leans back in his chair] You thirsty?

Still... thanks. It's nice to have someone you can count on around...

[eases his head off the table, sitting up] A little, yeah...

[gets up and goes to the fridge, looking around in it for a moment before holding up a soda, that citrus-whatever he likes so much] This all right?

And I can probably find some aspirin for your head...

[glances back to see what Axel is holding] Yeah, those are good.

That'd be nice... my head is killing me.

[sets two sodas on the table and goes to get a bottle of aspirin out of one of the cabinets, checking the dosage on the label before fishing out two pills for Roxas, holding them out to him]

I think we both need to take it easy around here for a few days.

[opens one of the sodas when Axel sets them down, and takes the pain killers] Thanks.

You can say that again... first getting bitten, then you getting stabbed, now being strangled... I'm starting to think that working for the Organization might be safer than this place.

Hah! I dunno, I'm in no hurry to go back... [opens his soda and sits down]

I don't really want to go back either, but... At least there we don't have as many problems with people attacking each other. [slumps down in his chair and sips at the soda]

We're just really good at making enemies.

We must be, or something...

[falls silent, drinking his soda and looking at the floor, humor fading]

I think it's about time we found a room.

[glances over at Axel]

Yeah... having our own room would be nice.
