[Xeha'd wanted to take little Desiree to the park for her first birthday. He'd wanted to spend it showing her fish in the pond, birds in the sky... he'd wanted her to have a real world to look forward to.

So much for that plan. They're out, anyway; he's pushing her in a chair through a hallway that looks like it owes its architecture to Olympus. She's mauling a new toy while he's looking rather thoughtful. Time to get his bearings again.

...For one thing, with things like this, he should be able to find the old laboratories somewhere, right?]

[Even nods back.] The place does have a regrettable tendency to force plans to change.

I believe there have been a few maps of the current layout started, should you find them of particular interest.

Really. I was speaking to a variant of yours about it the other day.

Given the evidence present thus far, I would hypothesize that worlds in which relative genders are swapped to be the far less common possibility.

Very much so, yes. It seems almost as if the place is set in its ways.

Cosmetic changes, nothing more.

Naturally. This one is simply more obvious about it.
