[She has a basket in her hand covered with cloth, and she's walking around the dressing room, looking carefully, once or twice opening random doors, peeking in, then closing it.]

Just..looking for an empty room. What about you? You seem to be busy lately.

[Tilts his head a little to one side. Then he realizes that he actually knows this Naminé, and he grins back.]

An empty room? Big one? Little one? What kind?

Me? [His grin fades for a split second. He really didn't want to drag Naminé into everything that he had found with Vexen's notes, which were now missing -- especially considering that Naminé hadn't had that great of an experience at Castle Oblivion herself.]

Oh, I've just been trying to keep from being bored and all, you know? [Tries to look as nonchalant as possible.]

Mm, just...maybe far from people.

Is something wrong?

[Gives Naminé a funny look and makes a guess at why she would want a room away from people.]

Are you having problems sleeping because of other people making too much noise or something?

Well ... kind of. It's just sort of ... I don't know ... sad to see some people come here hurt and sick and stuff.

What? Oh, no. It's just...I need to use it to take good care of something.

...I know. Some of them are even more hurt than we realize or possibly know.

[Tilts head to one side curiously, but he doesn't want to be overly nosy and just ask what that 'something' is.]

[Just nods at Naminé's last statement with a sigh.] Yeah.

...Roxas, I can't help but shrug the feeling there's something more. ...is it really something you can't tell me?

[A flash of violet catches his eye, and Roxas looks down ... and it's a -- it's a -- what is it?]

Naminé, you know there's something in your basket, don't you? I think it's alive. [points down at the basket]

[Roxas has a guilty look at Naminé's question, and he scuffs the toe of his shoe on the floor before answering with a question of his own.]

Naminé? Do you ever get bits and pieces of Kairi's memories and feelings?

Um, yes. This is what I'm taking care of. Four of them, actually.

Yes, I do. ...it can't be helped, I guess. After all...this is her heart, to begin with.

[Roxas kneels down to get a better look.]

It's a dragon! [Surprised ... \it's kind of cute and all. But--]

Naminé, is it safe? [Roxas belatedly realizes that Sora has Mushu as a summon, and he's friendly; but Maleficent turned into a dragon, and she was definitely not friendly.]

[nods] I came across a Riku here. He's the first one I've met that doesn't seem to be from some really different universe or that hasn't tried to fight me. He's -- [is reluctant to just speak about Riku's problems behind his back] -- been hurt, though. And Sora's heart isn't making this very easy for me to deal with.... [trails off]

She is, don't worry. I still don't have a name for her.

How badly? Is he alright? What happened?

[Slowly reaches for the little dragon and rubs a finger in a petting motion across the top of her head.]

Mmm. She's cute. [Roxas grins, then coughs a little and clarifies.] For a dragon, that is. [The grin is still there, but his cheeks are probably a little pink now, too.] Any ideas for a name for her?

He's alive, but he gets sick really easily. I mean, like, coughing up blood sick. He's had his memories taken away by Vexen ... and the Organization was using him.

I don't know. [Rakes a hand through his hair agitatedly.] I mean, he's not even like the Riku in Sora's memories -- maybe that's a good thing, though.

But he still has a strong heart. I do know that. Oblivion responded to him, and he has it now....

I still can't think of a perfect name for her. The males are easy to name. She's a bit special.

Um...

[Chuckles and pets the thus-far-nameless-girl-dragon some more.] I'm sure you'll think of something.

[Motions to the basket.] Are there more dragons in there then?

[Looks over at Naminé, noting that she seems uncomfortable.] Do you know which Riku I'm talking about, Naminé?

I hope so. She's the only one without a name so far.

Actually...

My double found these on the floor some time ago. It...it mentions about Vexen and... and an experiment. Roxas, is...is he...?

[Roxas holds his hand out to the orange dragon to let it sniff him before he tries to pet it.]

So do these two have names then?

[Roxas recognizes Vexen's distinctively precise penmanship even before he takes the notes. He sighs and nods a silent affirmative answer to Naminé's question as he gravely accepts the papers from her.]

You've read them already then, I guess? And another Naminé? Anyone else?

[Roxas isn't worried about the two Naminés having apparently read the notes, though the contents are anything but pleasant, seeing as he has yet to meet a Naminé who isn't trustworthy -- but there are plenty of other people around here that he certainly doesn't trust or know well enough to trust, and he would hate for one of them to try and take advantage of Riku from having read the notes.]

Yes. That one is Aqwer. This one is...Erkor. Xyland is already in another room. He stays there because he likes being buried under the earth.

Only the two of us read it, I believe. An Axel tried to peek behind while she was reading, but she stashed it away before he could see anything else. We figured it was better off not seen by others, so we decided to keep it. I'm sorry. I didn't knew you were looking for them.

He... he suffered so much.

[Scratches under Aqwer's chin and smiles down at Erkor's antics with the stone he's playing with.] They're all pretty cute. So you have four all together ... or are there more? [Obviously hasn't seen the eggs around the dressing room lately.]

Oh, no. I'm relieved that it was the two of you who found the notes in the first place. And it's not like we wanted to announce to everyone about the notes being missing, so there really was no way for you to know that anyone was even looking for them.

I'm sorry that you had to see them, though.

I think he'll pull through it. Riku's always been strong, you know? [Or at least Sora seems to think so.]

[Pauses, and then he looks at Naminé with an almost startled expression on his face.]

Naminé? What can you tell me about the Riku clones -- replicas? [doesn't know what exactly to call them]

There are four, but they seem to appear more often these days. If I find more, I might take care of them as well.

Do you know where he is now?

Replica...he was created by Vexen to gauge how powerful Riku is...I was ordered to rewrite his memories several times. There was a time he swore to protect me, and I'm really grateful for everything he did...

Do you need any help? [Has now stooped down and is petting Erkor.]

He should still be in the shower. And I hope he feels better. I'm kind of worried, Naminé -- even hi-potions and elixirs barely work on him. He says that it's because of Vexen's experiments.

[Pauses and lowers his voice so just Naminé can hear.] He's actually able to create hearts, Naminé. I didn't know that something like that was actually possible.

[Looks pensive as she explains about Replica Riku.]

What-- [Checks himself before he can ask "What happened?". He's not sure he should press Naminé for details.]

No, I'm good. I get plenty of help from Sora.

That's not good. Doesn't magic work?

I read about it. But it went wrong, didn't it?

Yes? What is it?

Oh. Okay. Let me know if the two of you ever need more help, though?

To be honest, I haven't tried magic ... because I can't use it myself. [Looks a little embarrassed to be admitting this since Sora is such an adept magic user.] Maybe I could find someone who actually can cast Cure to help, though.

[Shakes head.] According to the notes, the only thing that went wrong is when ... Roxas -- [Roxas doesn't know if the Roxas in the notes is actually him in the past or not] -- tried to use one of those hearts as a replacement.

Is ... he here? Do you know? [Roxas tries to soften his previously unasked question. He has seen a few Replica Rikus around here after all....]

Maybe I can help? I'm not sure how badly he's injured, but, when Axel got injured by Saix, I was able to stop him from vanishing...even if...

...doesn't that mean they don't work like the real thing?

I'm not sure, actually. It seems the story is the same for all of them, it's hard to tell them apart.

Really. [His words momentarily fail him at the mention of Axel fading. It still hurts to think about it, but grieving doesn't change the past.]

[softly] Would you ... mind seeing what you could do for Riku, Naminé?

But wait. [Looks sharply at her now.] What does it take out of you to do something like that in the first place? [If it didn't work, and they both wound up hurt, Roxas would never forgive himself.]

In a way, yes; and in a way, no. The artificial hearts don't seem to work on Nobodies. The notes didn't really say why, but I know that Heartless can eat them, and they can be used for Kingdom Hearts.

[Is silent for a moment, considering. What if this Riku was really a Replica? What then?]

[ooc: I know! I wish that more stuff would get released in English. *sighs wistfully* Either that, or I guess I should learn Japanese! XD
I didn't know that Naminé was able to do something like that. That's pretty cool ... but it does make me think that Axel/Naminé might be sort of cute, too. ^^; She did sew his coat for him in part of the manga, too. *giggles*
BTW, before I forget again, I think Roxas might need to somehow get the rum that Naminé has in order to make Bombe Alaska. ^_^ Maybe -- once I get around to posting a new thread -- they can portal into the kitchen from the cellar ... or something like that?]
