the end of this night is the end of our age.

[sitting on the edge of a hallway to some of the rooms, waiting. doesn't seem to mind that his shirt is off, that there's a TV panel relaying news on his chest, and that the noise is audible through his ears. oh well. that's being an information unit for you.]

[swallows, glances over there.]

... it's a habit, sir.

Sora is... either with Roxas or attempting to sneak up on me again.

[lips curl up a little bit, amusement tinging his voice]

If you'd rather do that, it's fine, just know that you aren't required to.

And neither is Sora.

[... even robots like him blush, and he's increasingly getting embarrassed by this Riku... telling him what to do. it feels so weird and he's caught off guard--]

Y... yes, sir. I mean--Mast--I mean...

[not really giving him orders; he knows he's not Riku's master, it's just he's not used to being called "sir"]

....Riku. It's Riku--

[... sucks in a breath.]

R... Riku. Like... land.

[nods slowly]

Yeah. My mom thought it was cute. [wry smile]

[slightly hollow laugh.]

Yes... so did my creators.

[watches]

At least you've escaped them, right?

[he glances away, and shrugs.]

I suppose so.

[chuckles, but nods.]

[lips twitch up]

No. Sora does not hate...

[pauses.]

I cannot be sure. He has not spoken to me about you, and therefore I think you are not an irritant to his constantly changing mood.

[smallllll laugh]

You sound like he's a female, when you talk about him sometimes. [teasing]

That's. That's good, then.

[cringes a little, laughing despite himself.]

Ah... gomenasai. I don't mean to.

....You speak Japanese.

[eyes widen]

... I speak all languages, sir. I was made in Tokyo, Japan, and therefore Japanese, English and binary are my main languages.

You can change me into whichever language you like, though.

[l-looks excited almost]

I haven't met anyone else who could speak my native language.

I also speak Italian and English, obviously, but.

[there's a light pause before he pulls in a breath--and starts speaking Italian, fluently.]

[s-so excited, chatting right back, a slight accent in his tone-- he hasn't spoken Italian in forever-]

[he's actually quite glad to put his knowledge to use, seeming just as thrilled as this other Riku is.]

[asks about everything, sometimes slipping into Japanese when he can't remember an Italian word]

[and when they've covered everything, the lapse into silence makes him switch back to English.]

... that was... fun.

...Thank you. Really. I haven't talked in anything but english in a long time.
