[For the past hour, a mysterious person has been hiding out by one of the rafters. A white mask resembling a rat hides his face, though his hair still sticks out rather painfully obviously. Eventually, he jumps down to the floor and pulls off the mask, stowing it away in the small pack on his back. He takes a deep, slow breath, before glancing around and studying the occupants of the room.]

[to self] Never thought I'd see a place like this again. Everyone looks familiar this time, though. Everyone... [swallows, then puts on a bright smile.]

Hey everyone!

Is there, uh, a designated welcome guy around here by any chance?

[OOC; HI. New player here bringing you Naruto-style ninja!Sora, currently 19 years of age and a member of ANBU. He has memories of the "Room" you may or may not have heard about, and won't be altogether be surprised about this place. (Nai, I expect sex for this. <3)]

[turns his head just as Riku looks away. has seen a million Rikus around since he first arrived, but there's something special about this one. frowns a little and approaches, a bit tentatively.]

... H-hey, do you -- [inward wince. it hurts talking to Rikus. but pushes on.] -- have a name for this place? Riku, right?

[... and besides, it could even be one that hasn't gone to the Room. but that's the same voice. he stares intently at his book, almost hiding his face. clears his throat.]

...

[sighs quietly, rubbing one of his eyes with the heel of his hand.]

--everyone calls it the dressing room.

[blinks, lifts a hand to scratch the back of his neck.]

The dressing room, huh? So is there like... a stage somewhere?

[curiously looks around Riku, as though some magical invisible curtain will raise and reveal an applauding audience.]

[sigh, shifts a little and looks--not at his eyes, at more his neck. he looks like a few of the rikus here. nothing really special, is there...? black shirt, silver hair, green eyes...]

... not that I know of. Probably, though. You can't get out, though. Not surprisingly.

[glances back down at him, frowns a bit at how this Riku seems determined not to look at him.]

Yeah, I figured from the moment I woke up in an unfamiliar indoor area surrounded in multiples of the same people. I learned my lesson the first time, I guess? [quiet laugh.]

[heart skips a beat. a small smile spreads across his face. now he looks up.]

I guess... yeah. I guess people learn the first time they encounter these things.

[it's been a long time since he's seen a Riku's smile. he expects it to hurt, but maybe he's lucky, because all he gets is a warm feeling that can't help but tug a smile from his own lips. with a mere hint of hesitation, flops down to sit beside.]

What are you reading? Anything interesting?

[quickly steals a notebook he was about to sit upon, into his lap. shakes his head a little--]

The Magician's Nephew. It's part of this... collection of books. You wouldn't know it. I'm rereading the series.

[apologetic look. spots the notebook, feels vaguely unsettled because it looks kind of familiar... but it's just a notebook. anyone could have one.]

... The Magician's Nephew? I think I've heard of that. [makes a face. concentrating.] Is it from... the Chronicles of Narunia or something? I once knew someone who read those.

[... sees the glance towards the notebook, shifts his knees and clamps it between his legs. well, that's a familiar move. he can't help but completely grin at his slip up.]

Narnia. The Chronicles of Narnia, yeah...

[but then he looks away.]

Really.

[watches Riku after he turns away, and... suddenly, it clicks. has the sudden urge to grin widely, but makes a valiant attempt to hide it. stares up at the ceiling.]

Uh huh. A Riku, actually. He also used to have this notebook he wrote in all the time when he was thinking. [closes eyes.] He wrote a song for me once. It was...

[... agh. pain in the heart. he puts a hand against his chest for a moment, although makes it seem as if his shoulder was hurting.]

--you don't have to tell me. It's probably been a long time since you've seen him, and you'd probably like to think about more current things.

[bites lip. unsure again, but... maybe Riku's just being his confusing closed-up self.]

It's not always a bad thing thinking about the past! You learn from it. It's just when you let it control you, that's... that's when it's better to just move on.

[before he knows it, those classic reckless impulses strive up again, those he'd worked hard to suppress ever since he was a chuunin, and he's glancing away and mumbling.]

... I never did, though. So maybe I shouldn't talk.

[--it's reckless. it's impulsive, it's so--him. looks over at him, slowly. pauses, then smiles a little. if this is him, then...]

Did you know that you can see any world in the night sky, if you look close enough?

[this poor heart. it hasn't melted quite like this in years, but there it goes. looks back, smile growing by the second.]

A... little dove once told me, yeah.

[little dove. ahaha. he's actually sort of grinning now.]

Mm. I knew a mouse that hung around a dove, once. Not too long ago.

[scoots in a liiittle closer, playfully nudging his shoulder.]

Really? Sounds like an odd pair.

[chuckles, then looks at him care--frowns.]

... damn it, you're taller than me.

[snickers, makes a big show of resting his elbow on Riku's shoulder.]

A lot has changed, y'know.

[frowns again. looks at closely.]

... Riku, you -- did you ever escape?

[looks at that shoulder and sighs slightly under the weight.]

I'm sure.

[... he leans a little back, then looks away.]

... no.

[... pulls away, dropping his arm back down across his lap. it occurs to him that... things have changed, and maybe Riku managed to succeed in moving on where he failed.]

So, you were brought here ... ? How long?

[aha, sora doesn't know how wrong that is. clears his throat, counts the days in his head...]

Two, three months, I think... maybe more. I actually haven't checked.

[nods slowly, feels self slipping into information-gathering mode.]

... That's a long time. What do you remember last from -- before coming here?

[can't really bring himself to say 'the Room'. refused to talk about it after returning to his home world.]

[... looks at the floor, not speaking for a few minutes. then, whispered--]

You confessed.

[sucks in a breath. it's hard to believe Riku won't have all those memories of them happy and together, but maybe... ]
