[After his encounter, Sora isn't feeling too hot. He's finally left his apartment, and is now skittering along, looking worse for wear as he heads to the nearby kitchen to scrounge for some food to take back after having depleted all of his own resources. But hey, at least he's (currently) not steaming darkness? ...For however long that lasts.]

[And it the kitchen, Sora will find this older (distinguished and handsome) gentleman, who is currently plucking various items out and putting them into a large basket. He's 'grocery-shopping' for various things that didn't end up in the family kitchen.]

[He'll warily watch. He's not entirely sure if this is a safe Ri.]

[Ri is currently pondering the flavors of yogurt that he's found in the fridge, then shrugs and puts one of each in the basket. He thinks his daughter eats all of them for breakfast.]

Don't just stare at me like that, Sora. It's rude.

...You're not one who'll mess with my Darkness, are you?

[He's still going to peer in and not enter just yet.]

[Daddy will turn fully, which will let Sora see the more obvious changes to the older!Ri. He's got more wrinkles on his face, and much shorter hair than the nearly hip-length ponytail younger!Ri sports. Also lovehandles. There's also a lesser scent of Darkness on him, and a bright scent of Light.]

There was one who messed with my Darkness, so I'm being careful.

[He'll step out now, though, since there's more Light than Dark.]

[Ri gets a little frown as he thinks that over.]

... a DR spell that hit the younger-me then? My Memories are a bit fuzzy about that, but I know there's been something going around.

[He'll enter the kitchen now and begin to scrounge.]

...I've been taking care of Ri.

Of course you have been. If the younger-me knew you found him hurt and didn't help, you'd be in for a heap of trouble once he got better.

I didn't think about that. I just care about him. But I need feed the two of us.

[He's packing up a lot of food in a backpack he had.]

... you can't cook very well. And I'm not allowed near kitchen appliances. Come on, I'll give you real food that you can use a microwave to warm up.

[He's noticed that you're packing lots of snacks and junk and teenage-boy-food]

[He'll smile and sigh a bit in relief.]

[Ri will give Sora smile and pick up his own basket to bring back]

You don't owe me anything. I'm a dad. It's sort of what I do.

[It isn't a long walk to his family's hallway, though Sora will definitely feel it when he passes through Ri's personal Dark Shield around the area.]

[Oh, he definitely feels it. And it's kind of messing with him a bit.]

[Ri puts his hand on Sora's shoulder, which should help lessen the 'pressure' a bit until they're beyond the wards]

Sorry. Should have warned you of that. Most of the family already knows about my barrier and is used to it.

[He'll smile up at him, but yeah, that helps.]

[Ri gives Sora's shoulder a light squeeze before letting go once it's 'safe']

[And now he's actually old enough to be more of a dad figure!]

[Sora will be getting a hair ruffle and a heavy hand pushing his head down playfully. Isn't he already.]

[He'll sling his arm around Sora's shoulders quite familiarly]

[He likes his Keyblade, and he's been training with it on his own while his teacher is still resting.]

Like I said, no thanks are needed. You're family.

[And here's the kitchen! Ri will be bustling to put things in the fridge and cupboards]

[Sora's gonna try and help. It's the least he could do.

Also, he may or may not be beaming at the comment about being family.]

[It's pretty easy to tell where things go. And Ri will be giving an approving smile.]

If you see anything in tupperware in the fridge you want, just ask what it is. Sora, Kira and Kai usually write a little label on how to prepare it stuck to the plastic. We always have plenty of food because of them.

[He'll only take a few things to start with. He's not too bad of a cook, and now that he's feeling much better, he can make some decent soup if they need it.]

[Ri takes some time to organize the yogurt by flavor, since Kira is particular and one less spate of whining from his daughter always is a good thing.]

So how are you coming along then? I try not to interfere too much with my younger-selves buuuut...

I'd say pretty far. I mean, I have a Keyblade now.

[That's sign of his progress, right?]

[There's a little smile on Ri's lips at that declaration.]

Well, let's see it then.

[He'll summon it. It's plain and simple, but it suits him.]

[Ri gives the blade a practiced once-over, nodding at what he sees. Then his lips curl up into a grin, and his voice takes a slightly teasing tone.]

You'll be wanting to make sure you really impress the younger-me with your lessons from now on.

I'll already be doing double the training.

[Sobbing inside.]

Not just doing the training. You have to be impressive. And enthusiastic.

Hard to be impressive with something you're not remotely used to. I'm trained in shorter swords and polearms.

[He's yet to realize the polearm was for the muscle memory to make his body a bit less breakable when Ansem used it.]

True enough. Hmmm... well, then. Just be enthusiastic and obedient. Believe me, it'll be worth it.

[Sora should totally wring info from Daddy. He's more inclined to be nice.]
