[ Here's a Riku, about sixteen-seventeen years old, wearing casual clothes with a shockingly short haircut. Overall, doesn't stick out enough to approach. But she's asleep, dangling mid-air, slightly reclined, the Way to Dawn hanging from her grip. If anyone does approach her, they might get a surprise.]

[ooc: and then I canon updated. Riku's been missing from the DR since July 25th. There will probably be spoilers for KH3D as I'm pulling her post-game. (That's why she looks a little younger than she should - it won't last.)]

[The minute he touches her the mysterious levitation comes to an abrupt halt. The female Riku hits the ground with a grunt, and above her a bat bursts into existence. (Only it has yellowish-orange wings, not pink.) It is quite indignant on her behalf, and flaps its wings in his face.]

[Hey, he had one of those! Well, probably still has one, if it managed to follow him here. He startles, taking a step back and trying to gently swat the angry bat away from his face.]

Calm down, I'm not going to hurt her.

[It throws a little temper tantrum but settles down on her stomach, which doesn't make her any happier than hitting the ground. Her eyes open slowly, groggily, and she pushes at the poor bat before her attention turns on the other Riku and she jerks in surprise.]

[Good bat. He's keeping a distance from his female counterpart, partly out of respect for the bat and partly because he doesn't want to startle her too bad.

More than she already has been, anyway.]

Uh...hi.

[Little late, boyself. She squints at him, then puts a hand over her face, as if she has a headache.]

Am I asleep?

[That would be a bizarre question any other time.]

I don't think so. But the Dream Eater makes me think otherwise.

[She sits up and plants her hand on the bat again, who coos contentedly and rubs up against it. She smiles on reflex, then stands up fully.]

Mm. But... I don't think I am.

Probably not, then.

[He waits to see if she needs help up, then stands up himself.]

Your buddy doesn't seem to like me.

[No, she's got it. She looks down at her hands, as if expecting something different.]

I think he's just a little surprised. So am I.

You're not the only one.

[What was she expecting?]

...no, I guess not.

[She looks at him, or mostly at his hair - she knows how Rikus look well enough, thanks.]

Do you know where we are?

[He shakes his head.]

No. I've been trying to figure it out myself. It seems familiar, but I don't remember visiting a world like this one.

[She nods, scratching the back of her head.]

I think I do know where we are. You wouldn't have visited it.

...How do you know?

Because I know this place. It's not a place you can just visit.

[She waves the bat away, then looks around her, trying to judge where she is. The memories of this place are hitting hard, all at once, and it's making her head hurt. She even flinches, apparently at nothing.]

[Come over to him, bat. He'll love you for the time being. He looks a little worried when she flinches, as he doesn't know exactly why.]

What's it called?

[It's bad enough that she's pressing a hand to her head, eyes narrowed.]

Uh... CC.

CC?

[Maybe he should wait for questions until the memory migraine goes away.]

Candy Corn.

[She has an almost sheepish smile on her face as her expression relaxes.]

The bat or the world?

[He's not sure which one they're talking about anymore.]

[She snorts and rubs her face, shaking her head.]

The bat. The world is called the Dressing Room.

Cute name.

[He really does think so!]

[She smirks.]
