[Kurt knew he shouldn't have taken that last left on his way back. It'd looked like a shortcut, but - well.

This corridor - wide corridor, narrow room, hard to tell - is ... cute.

Not just cute. Pastel, fluffy. An avenue of perfect little trees with perfect little apples on them leads down it, all decorated in ribbons. The walls look almost like they could be made of candy - perfect gingerbread house material. Little creatures - teddy bears, ponies, you name it - keep popping their heads out from upstairs windows. A stream winds back and forth across his track, with brilliantly yellow little ducks quacking their happy way along. And can he hear music?

For a Heartless, this is all rather ... disconcerting.
(Understatement.)]

[He holds up one hand, a small ball of dark fire curling to life in his palm.]

Five points if you get a pony, ten if you get a bear?

[Laughing even more-] Hah! Sounds fair.

[Of course he's going to go for the bear. He's watching the windows with an air of competition, winding up like throwing a baseball to let fly as soon as he sees those furry little ears.]

[There's a clap of clawed hands of approval, and the bear gives a sad little squeak.

Oh, dear.]

I can't fault your aim.

[That squeak is music to his ears. Riku smirks again and steps back, gesturing grandly for Kurt to step up.]

After you!

[Oh, bring it on, fuzzy. Spinning up a fireball, he'll be aiming for the next bear that shows up.

That was a really cute one, too. Blue. Damn.

And it sounded more to be growling...]

[Riku cocks his head at the noise, then shrugs it off. They're stuffed bears, what are they going to do? Throw stuffing? He's taking down a pony next.]

[Kurt goes for two at once, now, two hits on a pony and bear. And oh, it seems a new challenger has arrived! A kitten, adorable and big-eyed, pops its head out, with a little voice saying 'You shouldn't have done that, naughty boys!']

[Well that's a little startling. However as kittens don't normally talk... Yeah, he's definitely firing off a shot at it.]

How many for the creeper kitten?

[It goes down with a startled cat's hiss. Hm - are they sentient? Kurt briefly wonders. Not that it's a big deal. Maybe a little less than sporting, but that's all.]

On skill level, I'd say it was worth a little more than the bear. Twelve?
... Although we now appear to have multiple of them to choose.

[He's not even suited up, but he can be if it looks like they're going to have to battle some reinforcements.]

Don't tell me you're intimidated by fake kittens.

[Laughing-]

Did I say that? The more challenge, the better, and if these little beasts want to play... well.

[He gets one of them almost casually.]

That just makes it more interesting.

[It's fun to let one drop into a portal that opens above the house, letting it fall out for a mid-air shot.]

Very well done.

[Oho, so we're going for style, he thinks... he lets a set of four fireballs spiral up in his grasp and aim off towards four different targets.

The result earns a You two are not very nice! comment.]

Impressive.

[He's not nearly so refined in his magic skills, but he can fire off a matching four shots one right after the other without missing a beat. He hardly cares what these things think of them.]

[Meee-yowch! If you don't stop it, we're going to have to-

And whatever that one was going to say just got blown away in a rapid fire burst.]

Forget points, are you ready for this?

[He's reaching out with a portal again, this time swallowing a group of fluffy stuffed things to open up above the house again, letting the targets rain down.]

[Oh, the humanity! - Fluff-ity. Or something. Kurt sends an area attack to take out a wave of them, and fires off a tornado to spin the rest round and around floating in the air.]

I'll ask you the same.

[Riku's suited up in an instant, his grin wide as he leaps into the tornado to rip into his targets with Soul Eater.]

Ha!

[That earns a brief clap, even. There's a movement behind Kurt, though; something's forming.

It's still as cute and disgustingly adorable as the other critters.

It just happens to be roughly ten times the size.]

[Riku spots it on the way down, and his eyebrows shoot up as he points behind Kurt.]

Looks like we've got company!

[He spins round-]

So the toys are done toying with us, hm?
