[There's an older Riku sitting on a couch against the wall of one of the heavily-trafficked common areas. He has a white blindfold on, and occasionally moves as if to remove it, only to drop his hands back down to his lap. He seems to be waiting for something, or perhaps someone. Around his neck on a thin white cord is a card that simply reads L O S T.]

[wtf is going on with his family now? Ri has a sense for strangeness after all these years, so it's not long before he finds Riku]

... Riku? What happened to your eyes?

[He should be familiar with spells by now! Though usually they seem to hit the younger generation more. There's a long pause, before Riku seems to recognize he's been addressed.]

I'm sorry, were you talking to me?

[Ri will come over and carefully lay his hand on Riku's arm]

Of course I was, Riku. It's me, Ri.

[He tenses a little, but only because he couldn't see it happening.]

My name is Riku?

Yes, you're Riku. I'm Ri. You're my husband. Sort of.

[this doesn't sound good, and Ri will be casting a noncon-Cure on Riku just in case]

[It's not very effective. Unless making him startle counts.]

How does 'sort of' work?

Shifting timelines, alternate worlds, that sort of thing. But you're still my Riku.

Then.. Do you know why I've got a blindfold on? Is there something wrong with my eyes?

[It's white, and so is everything else he's wearing, coincidentally. Other than that it looks perfectly normal. He seems pretty accepting of Ri's explanation. It doesn't feel wrong, anyway.]

I... don't know. You weren't wearing it the last time I saw you. Do you mind if I check? You might be hurt.

[fuck you DR stop doing terrible things to his family]

It doesn't feel like I was, but go ahead.

[He'll hold still for Ri to untie it. Once it's off Riku blinks at how bright everything seems, before focusing on Ri.]

[oh thank the gods Riku still has eyes; Ri was preparing for the worst]

Do you remember anything weird happening?

Aside from sitting on a couch with a blindfold for so long? No. But then, I don't remember what happened before I woke up on the couch, either.

[If he didn't believe Ri about their being sort-of married before, he does after he sees the relief on Ri's face.]

[Ri will be carefully running his fingers through RIku's hair, checking for any bumps or strangeness]

Nothing? Well, do you remember anything about yourself or our family?

Am I? That sounds rather disturbing.

[He almost said pre-teen, but decided to save the insults.]
