[Greetings. A newbie has appeared--another Riku--though this one is dressed somewhat fancier than many newcomers before her. Oh, did I mention it was a female Riku? Yup.

She is very confused and upset at the moment, because what she's just walked into is very much not her bedroom or probably anywhere on the castle's grounds, which is what she was aiming for. That, and she nearly walked right into a nearby stream.]

...What's going on?

There are a number of possible answers to that particular question. What is it that you need answering first?

[Oh hi there, white-haired lady. Excuse Riku while she stares at you, trying to figure out if you're imaginary or not.]

I would like to know where I am, first.

A world with the rather misleading name of 'Dressing Room' - please don't ask me where that came from. More relevantly, I'd hope, it's a world that could be said to collect parts of, and people from, other worlds.

[Her mom, dad, lady-in-waiting, a random occupant of the castle...someone more famiilar.]

That doesn't make sense. How did I end up in another world without even doing anything? I'm dreaming this, aren't I?

No, you're not. And as for how? I can't give an explanation. But that doesn't change what happens.

[Not convinced yet, sorry. She frowns, crossing her arms over her chest--not angry, just thinking for a few moments.]

Hmph. Do you know how I can get back?

[She just gives a sigh. Matter of fact-] If I knew the way out, I wouldn't be here myself.

[This is looking worse and worse.]

I don't believe you. There has to be a way out. Someone just needs to find it.

[Ri has very highly attuned Girlyku senses! But he might be staring a bit because Riku =/= dresses, especially not dresses like that]

[She's used to dresses! She'd much prefer pants, or at least skirts that she doesn't have to hold up so she doesn't step on them. But social rules. She will stare right back, one hand on her hip.]

I guess not. You must be new, since I'm pretty sure I've met all the girl Rikus around here.

[She looks skeptical, raising an eyebrow. Though she's not questioning the 'cousin' status, because she doesn't actually know all of her cousins.]

Do you have a name?

[it helps that he looks identical to you except for being male, right? and the pink ribbon tying back his long ponytail]

It's Ri. Not too imaginative, but I guess names in our family are like that.

[It does help. She peers curiously at that ponytail and it's pink ribbon for a few seconds.]

Actually, you're in a place called the dressing room, or DR. It's a different world. And no, I didn't name it.

[shoving a hand into the pocket of his jeans... shouldn't his clothes be pinging some sort of warning?]

This is a different world? I knew it wasn't the castle, but I didn't know I had wandered into a completely different world.

[Everything is giving off warning pings, she's just addressing the issues one at a time. She's very tempted to examine the fabric of Ri's jeans.]

...Your clothes are strange.

It's not really a matter of wandering. The DR just pulls people here on its own.

[and then he snaps his fingers a bit, though he's smiling and completely non-threatening]

Darn. I was hoping you wouldn't notice. I'm not exactly a knight-kinda guy.

You thought I wouldn't notice something that strange? I've never seen clothing like this.

[Hi Ri, in ur personal space. She's given in to the urge to touch the denim.]

Anyone can be a knight. All that you need is the ability to hold a blade and follow orders. Simple as that.

[Her disdain for much of the royal guard, let her show you it.]

[he doesn't minds the investigating, but now he's going to be using his taller and bulkier physical presence to loom over Riku a bit, and smirk]

Like I said, I'm not a knight-kinda guy. And you're pretty trusting.

Perhaps I'm not used to being threatened. You're awfully rude.

[She's not afraid of him, but he is bigger than her, so she's not going to do anything aside from stepping back from him.]

Eh, some people say rude, I call it a healthy attitude. Though, you need to learn to be careful in this place. There's dangerous people around.

[hope you had your fill of the denim, because Ri will be going Dark Mode, his armor suddenly appearing on his body]

I think you're rude, for someone who calls himself my cousin. And I can take care of myself, even if everyone I know is in another world, as you say.

[Not really, but she steps back further when the dark armor appears, staring at Ri with wide eyes.]

How did you do that?!

[Ri so does enjoy being an asshole to newbies, he doesn't get to do it often]

And I'm Riku's 'cousin', but I don't necessarily mean you.

I've never seen magic like that.

[He's going to get punched eventually, if he keeps it up.]

There's lots of different kinds of magic, out in the worlds.

[he goes out of Dark Mode, leaving him in his regular clothes again]

And one thing about this place, is that it bring multiple versions of the same person. So you're not the only Riku here. And my Riku happens to be male.

[Trade you the jeans for the dress, Ri.]

So there are more of me? Only male?

Yup, lots of Rikus here. Though, there's a few girl Rikus here. One is one of my best friends.

Oh, so male and female others. That's even harder to believe.

[he just points in the direction of the more habitated areas, where doubles will be seen aplenty]

[She does stop, mostly out of surprise, and to check and see if she's the one being ordered around. The other Riku gets a flat stare, and then she starts walking again.]

[I'm 'supposed' to do nothing, your highness. If she really wants an answer, she can keep up.]

[She will! Luckily she has flat shoes on under her dress instead of heeled ones.]

[Sure, sometimes she dresses up like a boy and goes to swordfight with other boys, but she's still female.]
