[thunder sounds down this hallway, though the hall's sky is clear. the noise is coming from an open door, which leads to a small courtyard. the sky in the room is a mass of dark, rolling clouds, lightning streaking across it but not down toward land. there is a heavy downpour turning the entire place grey, and a Sora standing on a short wall near the far edge of the courtyard, arms spread and face turned toward the sky. she seems thoroughly soaked, and completely oblivious to the wisps of darkness climbing up the wall. it could almost be dismissed as caused by the bad lighting, but when the lightning streaks across the sky again, the shadows near her seem to rise up from the ground for a split second.]

[Oh hell, and he'd just been planning on going out there to do a bit of - wait. What.

What the.

That could be his own Sora, he immediately thinks, before seeing the differences that make it clear that it's his friend...

Never mind the rain. He charges in, yelling across it.]

Hey! Hey, Sora!

[thunder booms overhead, but she hears him and drops her arms, turning her head to look at him. she beams, though she's breathing kind of hard and looks a little tired, like she just finished training.]

Hey, Xeha!

[He looks over, a wee bit confused by what's going on - she's okay, though, so...]

What're you doing? Out here?

[the shadows rise behind her as another bolt of lightning goes by and she hops from the wall, pushing hair out of her face.]

I just finished training! I was going to go shower, but I noticed this door and heard the thunder, and decided to cool off in here first instead. Why?

[Oh. Oh phew. He looks pretty damn relieved to hear her say that, and gives an awkward laugh as he replies.]

Uh. It just. Doesn't seem like the best place to be hanging around...

Really? The lightning hasn't even come close to the ground yet, so I figured it'd be safe.

[she hasn't noticed the shadows! one detaches from the wall behind her and slithers toward her leg.]

[Giving a little bit of a nod.]

Well, that's good, I - Sora! Watch out!

Huh-?

[the tendril grabs hold of her ankle, becoming clawed like a Neoshadow's hand. more spring forth from the shadows around them, trying to grab hold of either of them wherever possible. Sora one wraps around Sora's arm -- thankfully the one she doesn't wield her sword with -- before she manages to get her weapon out.]

What the heck?!

I don't know! What's going on? You didn't see any-

[Keyblade get - he starts wildly swiping in an attempt to wallop any of them, but it looks ominously like it's likely one'll grab him when he's not looking.]

I didn't notice anything when I came in here!

[she struggles, whacking at shadows while trying to get free. if these are Heartless, they're not falling to weapons like they normally would.]

[... and one of them gets his leg?]

Agh - oh, great! Guardian! I could use a bit of help...

[Either that or the shadows can start grabbing that ghostly figure that just appeared...]

[seems they're not interested in that ghostly figure, but that doesn't mean the figure can't grab the shadows! they are mostly solid, when it comes down to it, even if weapons don't seem to be doing too well against them.]

[Is it too early for him to celebrate, though, as he tries to kick them away?]

[Kira is peering into the room from the open doorway; she doesn't want to go in because she'll get all wet and stuff :/]

[sorry, she can't hear you between the heavy rain and thunder, Kira! you'll have to be louder, or get closer.

could always find an umbrella!]

[Kira can totally be loud; she cups her hands around her mouth and shouts]

SORAAAA~!!

[okay, she heard that, and nearly falls from the wall in surprise. the shadows move up as though to catch her, but she regains her balance before they can and they recede again. she'll be hopping down and heading toward Kira now.]

Hey!

[daddyhasagun]

What do you think you're doing, standing in the rain like that?! You'll get sick!

[Kira is not pleased with your appearance young lady]

I was cooling off! I just finished training. It's not like I've been in here that long.

[she kind of looks like a wet dog, the way her hair clumps over her eyes.]

[daddyhasagun]

[Kira makes a 'tsk' noise and will fuss]

There's better ways to do that that don't involve getting chilled to the bone.

It's not even that cold!

[she's pouting, but moving to get out. the closer she gets to Kira, the more agitated the shadows in the courtyard seem to get. they want to grab for her, but eugh, all that Light!]

[daddyhasagun]

That's not the point! Come on, I'll have to find you a towel and new clothes. You're soaked.

[Kira doesn't seem to notice the shadows at all, since Sora's clothing situation is more important]

Okay, okay.

[lightning hits the ground finally as Sora leaves the room, and there's a weirdly mechanical screech from the sky. Sora peers back in, startled, but shrugs it off.]

New clothes?

[daddyhasagun]

[Kira looks startled by the screech too]

See, aren't you glad I was here? You totally could've gotten hit by lightning! And yes, new clothes. You can't wear wet ones. You'll definitely get sick.

I was going to have a proper shower and get changed after I got out of that room anyway. But you can probably put me in better clothing.
