[Destiny Islands. He hasn't really been here since he destroyed it, but visiting this room gives him... Mixed feelings. He sits on the paopu tree, staring out at sea, wondering if a creature like him--a Heartless--is even worthy of the light of this world. He stares at one of his hands, frowning at it. How long until he reverts? Does the spell last forever? Mm... Maybe he should find someone else to make a deal with, to reinforce his human form.

But for now, maybe, the Heartless will try and enjoy the sea breeze and the light.]

[He may be surprised! Do you dare to peek, Sora? It's certainly not someone with a heightened awareness of Heartless, in any case.]

[All right, he'll pull it back just enough to peek and blink.]

...Who're you?

[Roxas squints as light creeps up his face, a hand waving about blindly to pull the towel back down. It hits Sora instead, making him open his eyes and give Sora a groggy look, one eyebrow raising. Nice tan, Sora.]

[Haha, if only it were a tan and not skin-darkening due to being, well, Heartless. Sob.]

Hey, what was that for?

[He's waking up rather quickly as he notices Sora's eyes, which in his opinion are definitely not normal. Roxas glances around the beach briefly, before settling back on Sora again. Instead of answering, Roxas turns slightly to smooth out some sand, then trace his finger over it.

I hope you didn't think I was a sleeping Princess.]

Sure looked like you were.

[...Can this guy not talk? Huh. He'll settle in and stop crouching, actually sitting there. Keeping eyes on you, Roxas.]

[Hoping for a kiss?

Now Roxas looks amused, smirking at Sora once he finishes writing.]

No. And I don't think it'd help me, at all.

[gkfj Seriously, Roxas, what.]

[Roxas ponders that, along with how Sora looks. Sora doesn't seem like he's been possessed, and he isn't making any long-winded speeches.

Help?]

I'm a Heartless.

[He'll even morph his hands into Shadow Claws as proof, but quickly return them to normal.]

[Roxas' nose wrinkles at that revelation, but he doesn't move away. He is tempted to, though.

Why do you look like Sora?]

I am Sora. Was. ...It's complicated. I look kind of like what I used to, but... Being a Heartless made some of the coloring wrong.

[Heartless don't look like people.

If this is a trap, it's a strange way to go about it.]

...I didn't always. I... Made a deal with Maleficent to look like this.

[...He's not proud of it. 8C]

[Roxas definitely doesn't like hearing that name, and looks like he's bitten into something sour.

You're not here to take my Heart, are you?]

...If I wanted to do that, wouldn't I have tried when you were lying down?

[Sorry, dude. Don't worry. He refuses to just devour any heart.]

[Sora isn't very good at being sneaky.

Which only makes him wonder why Sora is here.]

...I'm not like most Soras. I was... Raised by Ansem.

[Now Roxas does pull away, looking disgusted and confused. If there's anyone who shouldn't be a parent, it's Ansem.]

...I think you can see how that turned out.

[Pulling knees up to chest? Yup.]

[Roxas stares at Sora for a good minute, letting it all sink in. Ansem, somehow becoming a Heartless, Maleficent. He has to wonder how on earth Sora could land himself in situations like those. Just thinking about it gives him a headache and makes him scowl. Then he sighs, and scoots over to put an arm around Sora's shoulders, looking out at the ocean.]

[Because he was kidnapped at the age of five, led to believe he was abandoned and Ansem had saved him, and then everything went downhill from there. But hey, he's not an ass anymore?

Also, he'll jump a bit at that, because he wasn't expecting it. ...Hope you don't mind that he's leaning on you.]

[Roxas brings his hand up to ruffle the back of Sora's hair. Honestly, he's glad being this hasn't turned into some attempt at taking his Heart, especially since it isn't even his, not really. Roxas doesn't pretend to understand how Sora could resist, but if that ever changes he certainly has the ability to deal with it.]

[He's only resisting because he cannibalizes other Heartless, oops. Either way, this is comfortable and he really has not had much physical contact in his life, so he's going to just. Soak this up.]

[Ah, but Roxas doesn't know that. He likely wouldn't be so inclined to be this close if it weren't for his own Sora's Heart guiding his emotions. He's worrying now if this is how his Sora wound up, after Roxas disappeared.]
