[Sora hadn't really been feeling 100% ever since he ran into a certain Remnant. But he's finally out and about, having dragged himself out of bed. He can't exactly remember what happened, and he doesn't really want to know at this point what's had him feeling completely awful the past few days. ...Okay, just over a week, so he'd been out of it for quite awhile.

He's just on a walk for now, not too far from his own apartment. It's an attempt to clear his head, now that he can walk without collapsing right off. But it's not really helping, since his head is still swimming and his chest is still hurting from where the Keyblade pierced him--that little bit he remembers, actually. But not what happened directly after that Keyblade struck him in the chest.

But that's not important right now. What's important is he's leaning against a wall, trying to clear his head and isn't exactly paying attention. It's not what he usually does, he's usually remarkably on-guard. So today is a very big oddity.]

[Kira approaches carefully, not sure what's wrong with this Sora besides the HIGH AMOUNT OF DARKNESS she feels coming from him]

[Kira herself is full of Light, but the Darkness she has might have a familiar hint of flavor]

It happened over a week ago. I just couldn't stand to sit in my room anymore.

[Sitting down sounds like a good idea, though. So he'll do that.]

What happened? Were you attacked?

[At the question, a hand will rest over his heart.]

...Yeah. That's about all I remember right now.

That's terrible. My brother was attacked too, and it took him a long time to recover from it.

[Kira's warm gentle Light is pulsing softly in sympathy]

All I remember is turning around, and then...

[He'll actually unbutton his shirt and push it to the side, showing off the beginnings of a scar over his heart.]

...Everything after that's a blur.

[Guess who probably smells a lot like your Dad, Sora. It's mixed with his own of course, but the strong trace of Ansem is undeniable.]

[That will throw him off, majorly. He'll even blink a few times and make sure he's not hallucinating. Because, holy shit, who are you.]

Could have fooled me. What's the matter, Sora? Couldn't hold your own in a fight?

[Oh my, and he sounds a tad bitter. He knows this isn't his own Sora, but the reek of Darkness from him has Riku suspicious.]

More like I turned around just in time to be stabbed in the chest instead of the back. Believe me, I can hold my own in a fight.

[He takes not of the bitterness, but for right now, he's trying to figure out just who the hell you are. He can't tell if you're Riku or Ansem right this moment, and the mixed scents is driving him up the wall.]

And you can still walk? That's surprising.

[The golden eyes instead of usual green has to be unsettling in their familiarity as well. He looks even more suspicious, but now it's because Sora is definitely still human.]

Yeah. After a week and a half in bed. I should probably still be lying down, but it was driving me crazy.

[Oh, they are. And Sora's only really still human because the Vanitas Remnant only took Ven's heart, cleaving it from Sora's without causing too much other damage. ...If upsetting the balance of darkness and light in someone can be counted as not causing damage.]

...And what about you? Which one are you? Ansem, or Riku?

[He's not in the mood for games. So he'd like to know if this is his dad from another universe, or if it's Riku.]

You could say I'm both, since Ansem gave me his power. I'd never let someone surprise me like you obviously did.

I didn't let them surprise me. They were just a lot faster than I though they would be.

I think I got the better end of the deal. Guess you must not have been good enough to wield it. But then, you did just admit that someone else was better than you.

Admitting you've been bested by someone is a very early rule of combat. It means you know your own weaknesses and that you can get stronger.

And hey. At least I can get by on my own and don't need someone else to give me power. What's that say about how weak you really are?
