[You have a new arrival, DR residents! It's not one of the types that normally appears around here, or has lately. It's a middle-aged silver-haired woman, who might appear familiar to some, and seem familiar to others. She'll stand out, at least, dressed in a pair of jeans and a bright yellow jacket. In one hand is a hardback book with a tasseled bookmark hanging out of it.]

Okay, whose idea of a joke is this? I'm supposed to meet someone in a couple minutes, and I don't have time for this. Whoever stuck me in this maze is going to get it when I find them.

[ooc: One of those parental figures. If you're a Riku, she'll probably try to hug/scold/hit you with her book. Go bother the confused lady.]

[that's certainly not anyone familiar to Riku (his father is the one with silver hair), but it makes him halt his limping trek down the hall nonetheless. for some reason, he almost feels the urge to hide his chinchilla ears, especially given how ragged one is.]

Positive. It's called the dressing room, and it's something of a prison. Pulls people in and doesn't let them out again.

Something along those lines. It's a crossroads, more or less. The people here are from different times, and often different versions of worlds.

A dimensional crossroads? You're kidding me. Those only exist in science-fiction novels.

You're quick. No, there's no known way out, but the place at least lets us take care of ourselves. Decent rooms, free food.

[This is by far the most interesting thing she's seen so far. Not the plush, but the person carrying the plush. Because at a glance, that Riku looks like her Riku. Besides the obvious gender differences--which she's failed to notice right away.]

[She turns immediately, because that is her name, and shifts the plush to hang at her side. That should make the gender difference very obvious. Wow, you... look like her dad and mom mixed together, or like her older self.]

[And Riku looks like her minus about twenty years. She's more than a little thrown off by what's currently going on.]

I...nevermind. I thought you were someone else for a second.

[She just watches her, suddenly looking uncomfortable. But not enough to back off or anything.]

You're looking for a boy, huh?

I'm looking for my husband. So yeah, I guess so.

[Was that a dig at her husband or a statement of the obvious?]

...I meant Riku. What's your husband's name?

[She'd show off a picture of him...if she had one. But she doesn't have any on her at the moment. He's not there anyway.]

Huh. The only blond guys with blue eyes that I know are Demyx and the Roxae. Hayner's blond, but his eyes are hazel. And you don't look like the type of person to be around any of the Larxenes.

Oh, and there's Uncle Nami, but he's usually in Uncle Kai, so I don't get to see him much. Maybe my parents or Auntie Piku have seen him around though.

[the names 'Kai' and 'Piku' might spark a bit of interest, especially since 'Piku' was said in that nickname-sort-of-way]

[Some of those names sound familiar, but only vaguely, and the only one that she thinks she might know anything about is 'Kai'...being short for 'Kairi'. 'Piku' is the most familiar, though, beig part of a nickname she herself used to use.]

I don't know any of the people you're talking about. Who's Piku?

Oh. Oh! Auntie Piku is what I can my Aunt Riku. When I was a baby, I couldn't say 'Rs' right, so I called her Piku and it stuck.

My son's name is Riku...I didn't know it was a girls' name, too. I used to call him Riku-piku when he was younger.

[He hated it. She's amused by this fact.]
