[The simulation room is full of the sounds of combat today, but that's not very unusual. In fact, nothing about this scene is really unusual at all. Just another Roxas looking to blow off steam, from the looks of it. The setting is a bit of an odd pick for a Roxas though- the room is currently set up to look like the Keyblade Graveyard, though his simulated opponents are just heartless.]

[he means it, too. it must be difficult to adjust to that sort of change. at least Riku had been awake the whole time.]

Not unless you can turn back time.

[People he knew before are gone, the kid's gone, Riku's closed off as usual and limping now- it's like waking up to a bad dream.]

I've wished it more than once.

[Homuraku! his expression softens minutely as he watches Roxas.]

But lingering just makes it hurt more.

[Definitely no Madokaxas here.]

That's for sure. So what do you do, just try to keep going?

Outside of here, sometimes lingering can help. Lets you look over what happened, fix things easier.

[surprisingly, that gets a small, if slightly self-deprecating chuckle out of him.]

[Roxas looks slightly taken aback. Did you just laugh at me calling you broody.]

Things have changed. But maybe just for the weirder.

[he's had time to grow. he knows he's a horrible broody mess about 80% of the time.]

[he's not looking at Roxas now, giving the wall an almost melancholy look.]

Guess I was just too hung up on this place.

[and by "this place" he obviously means "a certain blond".]

[I missed you too, chinchilla-butt.]

Yeah.

[he looks away from the wall, back to Roxas again just barely. he almost looks embarrassed under it all.]

[It feels. Better than he expected hearing he was missed.]

Sorry I kept you waiting.

It's fine. I'm good at waiting.

Was it worth it?

I don't wait for things that aren't.

[Finally ducks his head a little, looking sheepish.]

I don't know about that.

That's not too surprising.

[but he really does believe it. even if he'd never seen Roxas again, he's not sure he'd get into a relationship for years.]
