[ When the DR changed last Spring the only room Riku found herself missing, much to her surprise, was the simulation room. She could never find it after that. Now that the place is back to endless hallways and doors, it was almost frustratingly easy. But it was always one of her favorite spots to train. Emphasis on 'was'. Not today, says the DR. Today, she got to shrink down to kid-sized just as a horde of fake Neoshadows jumped on her. You know what isn't easy? Taking down digital Heartless when your keyblade is too heavy for you to wield. She's still trying even now, in a six-year-old body, slinging around dark fire and blizzard magic at a group of Unversed. ]

[Need any help, Riku? Your male counterpart is nearby, just watching for the time being. Thankfully, he's not tiny like she is.]

[Probably. But even though she's having trouble with only her magic to back her up, she's not about to ask for help. They're just simulations!

Except one of the Unversed just grabbed her by the ankles and is now holding her upside down in the air.]

[Okay, that's slightly amusing...but regardless of whether she actually wants help, that's when he's going to step in. Let's see how well he can get cut down the Unversed and/or catch her before she hits the ground.]

[If she ends up dropped on her head because of him, she's going to be really annoyed. The enemy is just a Flood - easy to take down.]

[What if he catches her by one leg then? Because that's what he's going to try to do when the Flood disappears.]

[Then she probably narrowly missed having her face smashed into the ground. She still shrieks.]

Put me down!

[Snicker. He does set her down, though he doesn't bother to right her first.]

Fine, geez.

[She plants her arms on the ground so she has some cushioning, and once he's let her go she kicks him in the leg.]

[That is totally unfair. He can't fight a six-year-old, even if she's not normally six. That was a nice kick to the shin she gave him, and he stumbles back, surprised. And slightly hurt.]

...What was that for?

[She's not-quite pouting as she stands up, dusting herself off.]

I didn't need help. They're not real.

I didn't think you could fight very well upside down.

[Though it was funny. Do it again, he won't help next time.]

I can still do magic. That's all I've got right now, anyway.

[She summons her keyblade, which hits the ground noisily, and tips her over a little. She can lift the handle with both hands, but that's it.]

[It's bigger than she is. Poor tinyku.]

You're going to tire yourself out more quickly that way.

That's why 'm not using it. I still want to train.

[She lets it vanish, frowning up at him.]

I meant by using magic. Unless you're more used to it than I am.

[He's not stopping her. She's welcome to train.]

[Kids are good at those 'you're stupid' looks.]

That's why I'm training.

[Roxas narrowly misses getting hit by that blizzard magic, having to jump out of the way as he was heading into the room to offer some help.]

Hey! Watch where you're throwing that.

[Once on his feet again, he brings up a wall of fire around her, keeping any others from getting close before he can get over there.]

Sorry!

[If it had been fire she probably wouldn't have apologized, because hey, what, she doesn't need help, but she does recognize which Roxas this is. The wall of fire still brings up protest.]

Hey! I've got it!

[At first he was alarmed when he came across a kid surrounded by Heartless, but it was quickly followed by the reminder to himself which room this was. Now, he's simply leaning against the wall by the door to watch.]

[Don't antagonize him, he'll pick her up by her ankles again.]

Makes sense...

[pause]

I didn't know you could use ice magic.

[He's at her side now and looks down at her disapprovingly.]

You should be fighting this many on your own. Where'd you get this anyways?

[he's referring to the keyblade.]

I figured it out last summer when I was fighting somebody. Fire magic wouldn't work on him.

[She's starting to slip into more childish ways of talking, and she's aware of it.]

[She stares at him, and frowns grumpily.]

What d'you mean where? It's mine.

[Shrinking down over ten years her normal age hasn't affected how strong her magic is, at least. The dark firagas she's slinging are just as effective as normal, and she's taking down most of the Heartless easily. Really, the difference in height is the only thing tripping her up. Makes it easier to get knocked across the room into walls, you know. Like that.]
