[Has Larxene ever smelled Darkness? If not then she won't recognize what it means when he's gone on autopilot, training he hasn't had to fall back on in years taking over and forcing him to raise himself up, his uninjured reaching toward her with his palm open. Riku isn't even focusing, but if she's paying attention she'll see the dark flicker of energy right before a blast of dark fire heads straight for her in a concentrated burst.]

[Way to go, Riku, the one thing she doesn't know anything about~! The blast catches her and knocks her across the room, sending her colliding into a table. It takes her a moment to set herself straight, before she's launching back up, gun in hand.]

That's it!

[during that moment that Larxene is getting her bearings back, those people who are conscious may hear a loud bang from up the hall, followed by another, louder one as something breaks the door down. Axel barely slows down from having to do that, and he'll be across the room and painfully twisting Larxene's gun arm up behind her back before she even has a chance to turn the gun on him. he's full-on Hachibi in the face, not that she'll know what that implies for her well-being, and his voice is layered with another, more monstrous one when he speaks.]

You are going to regret ever even looking at these two, bitch.

[Nope, he's following her with that arm, not even blinking. It's not even her voice he hears right now, but Xigbar's, coaching him on how to focus that dark energy into a weapon for them to use. The next blast misses its target when Axel twists Larxene out of range, just barely. One of them had better stop him, because judging from the dark flicker at his palm, he's about to try again.]

[Larxene growls, spinning to free her hand, even though it means giving up her gun. She tries to get some space in between them, making a move for her gun hidden under her shirt. Roxas is focused on Riku, yanking at his shackles with the little energy he has left.]

Riku!! Wait!

[Axel doesn't care; the fire part of it certainly won't hurt him, and the darkness won't do enough damage around Larxene to even break his concentration. speaking of Larxene, that was a bad move. he yanks her right back with an powerful grip on her wrist, and sidesteps behind her to grab the other wrist, pulling her arms straight out behind her, raising one leg to plant a foot against her back, and then pushes. unless she can somehow ninja out of his hold before he does that, she'll have a nice matching set of dislocated shoulders.]

[It's not Roxas that stops him exactly; it's Roxas' voice. While Axel's isn't familiar at all to him like this when both he and Hachibi are speaking, the commanding tone of Roxas' voice is one that he's known for years. The darkness flickers out immediately, a vague look of confusion on his face as his brain attempts to compensate for Roxas being in a memory where he wasn't before.]

[She lets out a loud scream at that, her voice cracking. That grabs Roxas's attention, but he's quick to turn back to Riku. He lets out a small sigh of relief when the darkness goes away, but still looks tense, unsure of what's going on in Riku's head.]

Help me out of this so we can get out of here!

[At this point, he's just worried about him going past that danger area with his control of darkness.]

[he's completely oblivious to Roxas and Riku by now, six feet two inches of tightly wound rage and predatory intent, all his focus narrowed to Larxene. he lets go of her arms and pushes with his foot again, kicking her roughly to the wet floor – forcefully enough that she'll probably skid a couple of feet – and stalks after her, stooping only briefly to pick up Larxene's knife from the floor.]

[Riku flinches at the scream, and is unsure just what is going on. His mind insists he was practicing with Xigbar, but now he's hearing Roxas yelling and someone is screaming. Sorry Roxas, but without a proper Keyblade he doesn't have a way to be of much help.]

Riku!

[At that last attempt to grab his attention, Roxas comes to the realization that he's going to have to get himself out of this, therefore is attempting to heat his wrists. With all that energy he's directing to melt through the cuffs, he's likely to pass out, but right now all he's concerned about is gtfo-ing.

Meanwhile, Larxene is lying on the ground useless, trying to hold back her sobs for the sake of her own dignity.]

[Kai's stepping in, light practically rolling off him- he's never had to pedal that fast in his life and he ended up pulling on his light to basically force his body to go just a bit past its limit. it's the only reason he's not completely breathless and stumbling when he steps in the room. he looks so angry.]

Axel. Not here.

[nope, he's completely deaf to Kai as well, kicking Larxene in the ribs to turn her over onto her back, his fingers white-knuckled around the handle of the knife. he swiftly drops into a crouch over her legs, heat visibly warping the air around him, and will proceed with what he wants to do if Kai doesn't stop him.]

[Larxene cries out again as she's jostled around, turning her head to back back at him.]

Just do it already, coward!

[an opaque shield slides over Larxene, close enough that even with Axel crouching over it's covering her entirely. the fact that she's barely visible through it should let Axel know he won't be getting through that immediately. Kai stalks over to him, seemingly ignoring how hot it is.]

I don't know if you've noticed, Axel, but there are more important things right now. We came here for a rescue, not a murder. Do what you want to her after Roxas and Riku are somewhere safe, and not incredibly injured! Or do you want to traumatize them on top of everything?

[the shield between him and his intended prey seems to startle him, and he turns on Kai immediately, pushing himself to his feet and growling angrily, breathing hard. his voice is still two voices, and they both sound mad; his eyes look a little crazed and wild, but as soon as he takes a second to really focus on who and what stopped him, he manages to rein himself in a little.]

...fine. But you'd better mean that, I don't want her escaping or getting healed or anything.

[he sticks the knife through his belt and turns on his heel, stalking over to Roxas and leaning down to break the cuffs off of him with just his bare hands and a quick burst of intense heat.]

[Roxas is a little startled by that, but mutters a "thanks" nonetheless, attempting to force himself upright. It seems to be a harder task than he anticipated.]

[He's slowly settling back into a kneeling position to get his bearings, the hand from his good arm covering his face. He's dizzy and has a headache, and doesn't know when Kai and Axel got there or even remember how Larxene got in the state she's in. The sheer amount of Light radiating off of Kai had him thinking at first the King had arrived; seeing this wasn't so was jarring.]

[once Roxas is freed, Kai removes the barrier from around Larxene.]

Take her and leave, Axel. If you have to do this, at least do it somewhere no one will have to listen.

[he sounds a little disappointed, honestly, but his attention has already been turned to Riku. Roxas gets a Cure as he settles down in front of Riku, trying to pull in his light so it isn't so overwhelming.]

Riku, can you hear me?

[aw yee, fuck that disappointed shit. he wheels back around immediately and practically pounces on Larxene, pulling her up to sit with a hand in her hair and then hooking his fingers in the collar of her clothing. you like people being dragged around, Larx? let's see how YOU like it, since that's what Axel's doing. he heads for the ruined door, dragging her after him and digging in his pocket for something along the way.]

[She lets him drag her, glaring daggers at the other three as they pass. Roxas is. just going to lie there for a while. Thankfully he's able to focus more of his energy on warming up now, so the steam rolling off of him is a good sign.]

[Riku leans forward to rest his forehead against Kai's legs, nodding slowly. He reeks of sex and Larxene's feminine musk, and his back is tense from the headache and stress. With his armor still up it's hard to tell something happened to his arm and shoulder, but there's no mistaking the blood on the floor beneath him. He's being mindful of it himself, as well as his broken nose.]

My poor Riku...

[he gently runs a hand over his hair, eyes moving over the armor, then to Roxas. he'll need to have Riku sitting up to heal him properly, and out of the armor, but he figures he needs a moment to anchor himself back in reality again or something.]

Both of you, is there anything I need to set before I start healing? And Roxas, is there some way I can help you aside from that? A Fire spell or something?

[Larxene gets dragged up the hall and outside, into an alleyway on the other side of the building where Kai and Riku and Roxas won't be able to see when they come back out, and certainly won't be able to hear anything. he pulls her up to her feet and pins her back against the wall with an arm at her throat, pulling the knife out of his belt with the other hand.]

Alright, talk. Why did you include Riku in your sadistic little playtime?
