[There's a new Namine and she's just walked out of a building to find herself on an unfamiliar street.]

Hmm, did I take a wrong turn?

[She turns around to go back inside the building, but it's not the same place she left.]

How...many wrong turns could I have made?

[As if that's not strange enough, she's looking around to see color. She looks back at herself, a colorless Namine.]

Or did I get spiked with LSD....?

[ooc: new here, hallo! I actually used to lurk and post here a few years ago. I just realized there has been some sort of a setting change, so I'm going to try to get up to speed and accommodate my character.]

[he pauses for a moment, wondering again who named this place.]

As far as I know, it's simply called the dressing room, despite looking nothing like one.

[He's got that right.]

Well, how did I get here? Did I get summoned here or something?

Something like that. It seems this place pulls people in for no real reason other than, perhaps, entertainment. You weren't brought here for any specific reason, though that doesn't mean you can just leave again.

[he gestures to where she came out.]

If you go through that door, it won't be where you came from.

[She frowns.]

Yeah, I tried that. Since when can a room pull people in anyway?

[Sits down on the steps.]

What am I supposed to do now? Is there really no way to leave?

None that I'm aware of. As for what you do now... live. That's all you can do here, really. There are apartments and empty houses to inhabit, stores that sell food, clothing, other essentials... the homes never run out of things like heat or hot water.

[She leans her head on her hand.]

Do I need to get a job?

No, thankfully everything is free.

[Nods.]

That's a relief. How do I move into an apartment?

Well,

[he hasn't picked one for himself, personally, but he's seen new arrivals before.]

It's mostly just deciding which empty one you want, grabbing the key, and then filling it with your stuff. Most of them should already be furnished, though you'll have to stop by a grocery store to pick up food.

[She narrows her eyes a little bit. This sounds too easy.]

Mhm, that's it huh?

[Perhaps it's just a dream and she'll just wake up at home and where there are no Rikus with green hair or streets with colored buildings.]

It is.

[he knows it sounds stupid. it still sounds completely moronic to him, being able to get free room and board, free food, free clothing. like a dream come true, for some people.]

You don't have to believe me, of course.

Well, my other choice is just to sit here and starve, right?

[She might as well go with it.

And with that, she'll proceed to stand up.]

Show me where the apartments are and where I can pick up some food and I'll be set.

Alright. Apartments are this way.

[he shall lead the way, if she's willing to follow now.]

[She follows but keeps a little distance out of caution. She doesn't actually think this Riku is dangerous, but rather be safe than stupid.]

[he understands, really. the apartments probably won't take too long to get to, at least.]

[She looks around as the walk, still taken aback by all the color. Wonders if they're getting close.]

Alright, those are the apartments there.

[he gestures to a couple fairly modest multi-story buildings tucked in between some houses.]

There are probably free houses as well, but apartments seem to suit people living on their own better.

[She nods.]

People shouldn't live in large spaces by themselves, anyway.

[Walks up to the main entrance.]

Are there keys inside? Do I just take anyone?

I haven't noticed anything different between the doors of the occupied and vacant suites... you'll have to check which ones are empty, but inside there should be a key somewhere near the entrance.

Ok, I'll look around then.

[Turns around to face Riku and smiles.]

[Nods.]

Alright. Which floor?

Whichever. I'm not picky at all.

[thinks for a second.]

Maybe the first or second. It's probably easier to move into one on a lower floor.
