[Nice day, isn't it? If you're outside, yes it is.

But wherever you are, your day might be interrupted by fighting. Even if there wasn't anyone fighting nearby at first, there will be when a portal suddenly opens up nearby and a Riku tumbles out of it, rolling a few feet across the ground before scrambling to his feet.

A few seconds later, a [Bad username or site: darkyang Title=lookalike @ livejournal.com] comes through the portal, holding a keyblade. The first one summons Soul Eater and they promptly get into a furious swordfight.

Do you try to mediate or join in the melee? Or maybe you'd just like to watch these two beat each other up?]

WHAT DO YOU TWO THINK YOU'RE DOING?!

[Fighting, silly. Obvious answer aside, neither one actually answers her, though the Riku without the keyblade blocks a strike from his attacker long enough to glance over at Kira briefly.

She might want to try a different approach.]

[nothing pisses of Kira quite like being ignored and she stretches out her hands, pointed at those two boys]

THUNDAGA!

[lightning rains down over the area, and Kira being Kira, she's not aiming specifically at the two boys, but trying to break their concentration enough to make them stop]

[That is certainly a different approach, and this time it actually works. It helps that this one doesn't particularly like Thunder attacks. He abruptly stops, looking around for the source of the magic.]

[And the other one simply wasn't expecting to be attacked, and jumps back when his opponent pauses.]

[Kira's hands are on her hips and she is peeved]

That's better! Now why are you two fighting?!

[Both of them start talking at about the same time, but Shiru's better at being louder by default and talks over whatever Riku is saying.]

Because there's nothing else to do. Besides, it's not like we were bothering anyone or destroying anything.

[did Shiru just get a small dose of Thunder zapped at him? yes, he did]

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard!

[He flinches at that and scowls at her Stop being Larxene-like, you.]

It's not stupid. It--hey!

[And then Riku elbows him to try to shut him up.]

Shut up, you're making it worse.

[And then to Kira:]

We were sparring and it got a little out of hand.

[at least Riku is smart enough to know what to say]

A little out of hand? You were using your blades against each other!

[He looks a little awkward. Yeah, that was kinda the point of their fight, but Kira seems like she doesn't want to believe that.]

We've done it before. Really, we're fine.

Of course we were using our blades against each other. That was the point.

[No, he will not be quiet.]

But you could seriously hurt each other! They're not toys!

[she will zap Shiru again if she has to]

[Shiru snorts and rolls his eyes.]

What do you suggest we use instead then?

[Riku doesn't say anything about the swords being toys; he knows that, but he's not going to say that. At least Shiru has figured not to say that, even though his fighting mood has turned into an arguing mood.

He's actually staying quiet for the time being, seeing if Shiru can successfully win against Kira.]

You could use training blades like you're supposed to! And don't say you couldn't find any because my cousin Riku has like a million of them!

[Shiru couldn't outbitch Kira even on his bitchiest day]

Training blades break too easily.

[Or else the ones that he and his world's Hayner used were badly made, because they, well, broke easily.]

I've never even met your cousin, so how would I know about his stuff?

That settles it then! I'll take you both to meet cousin Riku!

[she's grabbing onto Shiru and Riku's arms and will yank them along behind her if necessary; she's determined!]

[Riku will come along just fine, he doesn't need yanking anywhere. Shiru, on the other hand, attempts to jerk his arm back before realizing that if he doesn't go with her, she might Thundaga him again. So he settles for scowling at her instead.]

[Kira is immune to Shiru's bitchface, as she has 3 brothers, but Riku will notice that her hold on him has loosened to something less like a deathgrip because she's sure he won't try to run away; she marches determinedly towards the shopping district and a certain shop with a large outdoor area that's separated from the rest]

COUSIN RIKU I NEED YOUR HELP!

[Inside the forge, the walls are lined with innumerable racks of swords and other bladed weapons and farther back, a 20-ish man with silver hair flips up the welder's mask shielding a familiar -- but so much cooler and handsome -- face; Riku looks surprised, then suspicious of the two boys with Kira]

... Kira, what have we told you about bringing stray Rikus home? Do I need to kill them before your Dad does?

[Shiru likes the wall o' weapons and wishes to examine them. This is probably not a good idea, considering the current situation. Especially when his attention is quickly diverted from the weapons to the Riku.]

Great, more death threats. You wanna fight? I'll fight you instead of him.

[He indicates the Riku standing next to him, whose expression changes from a look of mixed surprise and confusion to one of exasperation, complete with eyeroll.]

ABSOLUTELY NOT! There will be no fighting! Cousin Riku, I just broke these two up from fighting and you shouldn't encourage them!

[Kira looks at her wit's end over this whole thing, stupid boys]

And Daddy isn't killing anybody either!

[Riku looks slightly amused by all of this, but at Shiru's declaration, Riku just smirks; there's a pulse of Darkness and suddenly every weapon in the forge is hovering in the air and pointed at Shiru]

Want to rethink that idea? I'm no pushover. And Kira, calm down. You know me dealing with these boys is better than Ri getting his hands on them.

[Shiru is very startled to suddenly have a bunch of weapons pointed at him. He starts to say something, but quickly shuts his mouth, scowling.]

[Riku startles as well, raising a hand almost automatically to cast a shield in case the other Riku decides to attack. Not that he does, he's just ready to.]

She was talking about training blades earlier. I'm pretty sure that's why she dragged us here.

[Riku holds up a hand to forestall any of Kira's interruptions, which makes her cross her arms with a sulky look on her face]

I see. As you can see, I have plenty of blades to choose from. And I agree with her that your shouldn't cross your fighting blades with someone you don't intend to kill.

[Riku waves a hand and the weapons go back to their original places, but the feel of Riku's Darkness still surrounds the whole shop]

[Shiru mutters something that might sound like 'who says I don't intend to kill him?' and goes to examine some of the weapons now that they're not (blantatly) threatening him. Riku lets him.]

So are you offering to lend us the weapons or to give us a couple?

Depends on how you do.

[Riku grabs two wooden training swords and tosses them to Riku and Shiru -- better grab them or they'll whack you on the heads -- then points to the large clear center of the forge]

Spar. No magic. I need to watch your forms.

[Riku catches the sword tossed to him, a brief look of confusion crossing his face. What did their forms have to do with anything? Not that he's protesting--he's heading to the indicated area, waiting for Shiru once he's there.]

[Shiru also catches his sword, after fumbling it slightly and catching it upside down. He meant to do that, really. He's more than happy to demonstrate his abilities--after all, he's the one that started the fighting in the first place.

He doesn't even wait for Riku to get into a fighting position before he launches his first attack, forcing Riku to block the swing before anything else.]

[the training swords are wood by the way, little better than the play swords on Destiny Islands, so if they strike too hard, Riku and Shiru might find themselves without weapons at all; 'Riku' did this on purpose, to see if the two could adapt to their weapons]
