A rare female Axel appears!

[Good afternoon, world residents. Are you enjoying your new arrivals? Hope you don't mind just one more.

Not that anyone, her included really has a choice whether they're there or not, but that doesn't matter now does it? Fact is, there is a brand-new Axel wandering the streets of the Dressing Room, looking at the scenery with both interest and disdain. The worlds aren't supposed to run into one another like that--who sent her to this strange mismatched world? She has things she needs to do back home, geez.

She stops her tour at the apartments, standing in the street and staring up at the building, arms crossed over her chest.]

Well, this has gotta be the most bizarre world I've ever seen. Wonder what the locals are like.

[Cue glancing around for said locals.

OoC: Vaguely new voice. Hur.]

[If Axel gets too close to that building while looking around, she may find herself getting wet. ;D A water balloon just exploded near her, from somewhere up above.]

[That was a horrible pun, you. She wasn't expecting that water balloon and is thus surprised by it's presence, jumping a good foot to the side and snapping her head up to look for the source.]

Hey! Who did that?!

[Oh as if he's going to come out to that tone of voice. Nope, Roxas is hiding up on one of the higher balconies, laughing silently.]

[Oi, you brat. She'll find you eventually. Axel still has no idea where the balloon came from, though, except that it was somewhere up high.

She takes a couple steps back from the building, still looking for an open window or a visible someone on a balcony.]

[What is that jiggly, colorful looking thing from what looks to be the eighth floor? It's sitting right on the edge of the bal- no, now it's suddenly propelled off the balcony, right in Axel's direction.]

[She sees that! And that balloon doesn't get very far before it's sliced in half by a chakram, which continues up to that balcony, glancing off the railing and off to the side before disappearing and reappearing in Axel's hand.]

Stop that!

[There will be a familiar head of blond hair peering incredulously over that balcony after that. Enjoy the small shower of water when the balloon exploded in mid-air.]

[She can deal with a small shower. She just can't deal with the balloons hitting her. Also hi blondie, you look familiar!

Except last time she saw her Roxas was in the simulated Twilight Town.]

Roxas?!

[Upon reflection, he should be glad Axel didn't use fire, he thinks. Once he gets over the shock of being attacked, Roxas' expression turns a little more devious. Would Axel do that again, knowing who was up there? He's holding up another water balloon threateningly, a grin growing on his face.]

[She can't see that expression that well from eight stories down, silly. And no, she probably won't do it again.

...Wait a minute.]

...Don't even think about it, Roxas.

[How many balloons do you have up there anyway?]

[He has quite a few still, actually. She's the first target he's taken aim at today. Look Axel, he's blowing raspberries at you. He's also standing to grab the rail, holding the water balloon high.]

[Hey this one should be familiar. Maybe that look of exasperation on her face, too! Why is she always around when they show up. Why. I mean, she is coming out of the apartment building and all, but... why.]

[Very familiar. It's been a while since she last saw Riku, but she's not bad at recognizing faces. Approaching you now, Riku.]

Long time no see, Riku. Didn't think I'd run into you here.

[She's (relatively) harmless at the moment. She mostly just wants to figure out where she is.]

Guess you haven't been here long.

[Riku shuts the clear glass door abruptly, seconds before a great big husky comes bounding toward it. Said husky looks really confused when she meets glass instead of fresh air.]

Just got here, actually. I was just giving myself a little tour of the place.

[Glancing at that dog and failing to suppress a slight smirk when it hits the glass door. Stay in there, puppy.]

Good for you. Why don't you keep going?

[That way. Away from her. Puppy stares up at Axel with interest, pawing at the glass.]

Or I could stay here, since you seem so happy to see me.

[Her smirk grows. Are you annoyed yet, Riku?]

Thrilled.

[Not annoyed in the slightest.]

Then you won't mind telling me what this world's called.

[She stuffs her hands in the pockets of her coat and looks at Riku expectantly.]

[At one point, Riku would have regarded Axels from her type of world with one of two reactions; she would give them the shortest, bluntest explanation possible, or she would ignore them flat out. Being here for over three years has changed her a bit. She considers the question, then glances at Serein and opens the door. After she runs out, Riku stuffs her hands in her pockets and looks at Axel.]

Come on.

[ well, slumped against the wall on the steps of the apartment, well out of the way and fast asleep to boot, is what appears to be a Saïx, napping lightly, with a loose leaf of paperwork spilling out of his hands.

what do you do, Axel? ]

[What Axel would normally do is go up and kick Saïx awake. Which she heads over to do, before stopping short upon noticing that this wasn't the girl she thought it was.

Oh well. Rib-punting is a go.]

Hey you, wake up.

[ a small groan, and then golden eyes snapped in sleepy surprise at the sudden interruption of his pleasant nap. really, normally the offender would promptly find him or herself in a great deal of sudden pain, he's developed something of a sixth "Lea" sense over the years, which are tingling.

he always let his guard down in a way around Lea.

meaning, no painful maiming; half-awake yellow eyes blearily fix themselves on the redhead. not noticing the boobs yet. ]

... Hmm? What, Lea?

[Axel didn't kick hard, just enough to have him notice and wake up. Ignoring that name for now; she hasn't been the girl who originally went by that name for years now.]

You seem right at home in this place, so I thought you might know what this world is.

[Also why is he not a chick, but she's not asking that yet.]

[ that seems to snap him more awake, and he sits up straight, hands fumbling to insure that he doesn't the leaf of papers as he peers up at the redheaded firestarter and wondered when Lea had started wearing clothes protected from the Darkness.

still failing to notice the gender swap. ]

You've only just got here, Lea? Really, you seemed to make it a habit to get places before me. Meaning you're late.

[ his voice sounds amused, but he'll let that go. Isa's special manner of teasing was always a little restrained and dry. anyway... he gestures with his free hand to the mismatched streets sprawling out before them and the towering apartment buildings. ]

Currently, we're in some sort of multidimensional nexus. This world doesn't seem to follow the rules.

[She started wearing the cloak around the time Lea stopped existing.

There is an eyeroll and a wave of the hand for you, guy-who-looks-like her (former) best friend.]

I guessed I missed the mission memo, then. I wasn't aware we were supposed to be doing...something...here.

Yeah, I got that about...when I stepped out of Twilight Town and into Radiant Garden.

[ like Isa knows that.

the corner of his mouth turns down in a slight frown at the eyeroll and the cool, detached manner the hotheaded firestarter was directing towards him. that was new and a little disturbing. his old friend have never treated him like this. a head-shake at Lea's assumption that they were supposed to be here. ]

No, we aren't supposed to be here. This world... pulls people in and traps them here. No one can leave by their own will. I was certainly not intending to end up here.

[ something was off. and then he noticed the..... difference in gender. it was a credit to his ability to keep his cool that he didn't do anything to express his shock, other then the flicker of utter confusion on his scarred face. ]

Lea... Is there something the matter?

Great, that makes me feel so much better.

[Only not, of course. Who's ever heard of a sentient world, anyway?]

Nothing's wrong with me. I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with you. You haven't called me 'Lea' for years and last I checked, you weren't male.

Why, glad to be of assistance, Lea.

[ that was sarcasm up there. and at the firestarter's next sentence and questioning of his rightful gender, that the small downward twist at one corner of his mouth morphs into a full-out small frown.

well, it appeared he needed no further proof of Xehanort's "alternate worlds with alter versions of us" speech. ]

I assure you, there is nothing wrong with me, save for my inability to return to my rightful world and last I checked, you were no more a female then I am.

[ insert baffled look here, directed at the person he believes is Lea. this isn't funny in the slightest, Lea. ]

Unless you picked up a different name without telling me before this, your name always has been and always will be Lea. Please tell me you did not "memorize" your own name, Lea.

[Hello sarcasm, you're an old friend. Axel's ignoring that first bit.]

I've always been female. And you and the rest of the Organization except for Larx. [She'd feels like she was dealing with an amnesiac a little if she weren't talking to a guy.]

Lea's who I used to be. Name's Axel now. A-X-E-L, get that memorized.

[ that small frown isn't wavering anytime soon. ]

Then we are from different worlds. Ah, you and your Isa joined the Organization as well? There is only one female in our ranks last I saw, and her name was Arlene. [ and damn, the bluenette enjoys at least having a basic understanding of what was wrong. he would be so confused right now if has superior hadn't informed him beforehand of the alternate versions of people he knew.

so, apparently in some alternate universe he and Lea had been born female. and Lea changed his name to Axel. the hell? ]

... And just what prompted you to get a name change, Le-- Axel?

[...hang on, she's got to decide whether or not to try to shank you're not looking.

[Didn't she kill you? She's about 100% sure that she killed Vexen. She's going to pretend ignoring the other Nobody and see if she's just a figment of her own imagination.]

[How about that large pointy hunk of ice coming from above? Still a figment of her own imagination?]

[A very pointy figment, yes. Since when did ghosts come in ice flavors? Maybe Vexen forgot that she's dealing with the Organization's resident fire wielder? If she did, she'll still notice that hunk of ice rapidly melting away.

And then Axel decides to acknowledge her.]

Nice to see you too, Vexen.
